It's nuts how fast things morph around the site. The thread was correcting itslef from what I read, and someone telling Jones to get a life is hardly a life changing event. I'm sure Jones was only momentarily distracted by it, it's just not anything worth getting huffy about. As for his reply, it was pretty much on target, and yet mild enough to let lay where it sat. There was much worse earlier on, and as I said, it was settling on it's own.
The inconsistent attention paid it merely confuses everyone that much further. The first rule of management is consistency. No matter what the rules are, be consistent with them or no one knows what they are.
As for the stink from that thread, I'd rather it went no further here...

Punching Jones isn't that hard, but be aware, it can become a full time hobby, and it really isn't worth the effort, there are far better things to do,certainly more fun.
