Morning peoples!

Short shift at work today.  3:30 to 6am.  All OT.

Maybe I'll grab some breakfast from my favorite joint on the way home.  Hmmm, that's sounding like a pretty good idea.  109

Then I'll do some work in the garage, moving forward with the benches and cabinets.

Mornin! Well I'm assuming my home made soup made hubby feel better, because he went to work today.

I have to go to the post office. I HATE going to the post office!

And I got a text from dad telling me my grandmother's cancer is back :( They are hoping its caught early. She's going for chemo every three weeks for an undetermined amount of time. Fuck cancer!!!

Congrats on your nurse success!

And boo for cancer.  Lost my grandfather to it several years ago.

So I dunno why I make a trip to the post office such a big deal. The PO I go to is a tiny one in the back of a local drug store. Unless you've lived here 15 years, you don't even know its there. There was no problem parking, no wait inside, and the man who runs the PO is a sweetheart :)

Hoping I feel up to going to the gun show tomorrow :)

Although last time, it was full of rude, annoying people who don't get the unspoken gun show rules and etiquette.

You should go (assuming you feel well enough).

Worst case you can head home early if you don't like the vibe (maybe grab some lunch somewhere).  If you don't go, you'll be wondering what if for the next week or 2.  I've bailed early from a couple car shows before because I wasn't "feeling it".  However the last time I went to a show, I saw the slickest full custom '60 Edsel.  I don't like a lot of the full custom cars because they tend to be so over the top.  But this thing was sooo clean.  I don't think a single bit of the car went untouched, but everything was so subtley tweaked that everything flowed together.

Sherb, we have a local club here that runs a "meet" every Saturday on main street from April to OCtober...saw 4 '67 427 vettes once, side by side. Usually around 50 - 70 cars or so, and there are many that come from surrounding areas, great stuff!

And I agree, that Edsel was the epitome' of understated awesomeness! And being a convertible certainly helped...

So I was helping my best friend move today and was securing the load with a bungee cord. Seem's I didn`t secure it because it flew up a hit me in the head. I now have a huge welt and my forehead is raised a half inch. I'll try and get some pics up... it's ugly.

@ Outcast ouch! Hubby always makes me move out of range when he's securing something with the bungies. Bungies are dangerous!

Went to the gun show. It wasn't full of assholes. It also wasn't full of guns. Way way WAY too many vendors selling other crap. Two HUGE areas selling jewelry (REALLY??). Five selling cammo bikinis, tank tops, duffle bags. Four selling purses. Four selling holsters. Idk how many selling knives...LOTS. One jerky vendor. A BUNCH of stun gun/pepper spray vendors. Several tshirt/hat sellers. A few selling scopes and mags. And then some gun vendors. I would say there were more "other" vendors than gun vendors?!

I did get to see a dumb bitch accidentally shock herself with a stun gun lol. It was almost worth the price of admission.

Last one we worked, the guy next to me was selling all the accessories available for the "assault" guns, but no gun itself. He had one as an example/sales prop.e said it was easier as far as dealing with restrictions etc. and the accessories were far more profitable than the guns themselves.

BTW, we worked the Kingsport gun show last year and we were selling Healthy Chocolate. Partner suggested it and we though originally she was crazy, but it actually worked out quite well. The people that weren't interested were really not interested and the ones that were were. So less interaction but more sales, was kind of nice. Also got to walk around and shop while there, very nice as well.

i actually don't mind the jerky guy, the nice old man who custom makes belts, and a FEW accessory guys. But the place was lousy with cammo bikini stalls, jewelry, and knives. I bought a knife at the show once. It's the fact that there were so few people selling guns vs so many selling other stuff. The ratio was WAY off this time. Oh and there were a lot more selling zombie crap. Zombie ammo, zombie survival books, stupid zombie targets. And machetes and axes lol.

P.S. the guy next to you (selling accessories) would be what I call cappuccino man. They sell you everything BUT a cappuccino maker to attach to your AR. I say eventually, there WILL be a nifty little coffee maker attachment lol.

I dislike bungies...at least for transporting things on vehicles.  I've seen too many lost loads due to failed bungees.

That said, they do have thier uses.  I'll use them around the house for misc things like holding down tarps and propping the garage door open (not rollup).

I'll have to agree, Kit.  Watching someone w/ a lack of common sense hit themselves w/ a stun gun would be worth a few bucks.  154

Hubby uses a bungie to hold open the door on the side of the garage. And here I thought he was a genius for coming up with the idea lol!

Watching a dumb broad zap herself, yell "OUCH!", then fall into the table of stun guns = priceless lol

A gun show with no guns... Huh.

Kinda reminds me of the show "Sex and the City". Sounds promising, right? So you tune in, hoping to catch some sex. Only you don't get any. Instead, you get to see a bunch of middle aged women TALKING about sex. And their relationships. And other crap no man cares about.

Kind of a bummer. False advertising is all that is.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have two girls, 10 and 5. My oldest came home last week singing this so she made me watch the videro because I had no idea what it was. Now all I here when they get home is "what does the fox say"? Dog goes woof, cat goes meow. Thanks for the heads up Norwegian furry.

It's crazy that shit like this is actually considered "music". But yet I try to subject my daughter to The Beatles, Stones, Elvis and she say's that's garbage. At least she doesn't listen to the Beiber anymore... now if I could just get rid of 1D.
