2nd week report RB4Rivals

It was a hard push, but 2o2p-crew made it out of the ghettoes of the bronze, silver and gold tiers and as of now reside in the platinum tier. The song choices of last week were atricious, so I ended up exhausting the deminishing returns on the spotlight songs and song by the Who, to avoid having to deal with the earbleeds otherwise polluting the 'W'-list last week.

RB4Rivals mid-weekly challenge report.

Allah, Allah, Allah. What torture. The spotlight-songs are horrendous and I'm not having a good time with the 'W'-songs too. The first spotlight song, 'I'm sorry, mister' by No Doubt I can only classify as a set of unpleasant noises that can sterilize frogs in a 500yrd radius. The second is worse than that and the perpetrators behind that should be treated as having committed a terrorist-attack with that abuse of 'musical expression'. The third song is quite fun, but the jewel-track is, for guitar and bass, incomprehensible.

Celebrating 2/2 2o2p-day!

Februari 2nd: 2o2p Day!

2o2p Day! Little did I know it existed while I finally finished decorating my little condo overlooking the Tri-City comprised out of The Hague, Rijswijk and Zoetermeer. Living where I live makes one regretting that it isn't new-year's eve everyday. The view is astonishing. Since I take senior-gaming very seriously and believe that you shouldn't do a hobby unless you're prepared to do it right, I decided that I should honor 2o2p Day with pictures from my livingroom, which is a celebration of gaming all by itself.

PC Masterrace, dawg! (And some RB4-Rivals)

Today I finished my Masterrace console (let's not pretend here) with a LG 29UC88-B curved monitor capable of 2560x1080@144 resolution, which marks the completion of my 'ready for Andromeda' project. Well, there's always something, like HW-sonics. But seeing as I own HD-headphones (multichannel), that particular consideration isn't acute in my perception.

PSN: The Flame in the Flood.

The Flame in the Flood is an indie survival simulator to be had on PSN for around €15 ($16). If one's a multi-platform gamer with especially Steam included, the genre-nomer 'indie survival simulator' is almost an immediate reason to disqualify the title as something one should be interested in. Survival games are a dime a dozen and range from average to absolute bottom of the barrel.

The life of a virtual guitargod... How RB4 still misses the mark.

One would think that a company like Harmonix, the fathers of the Guitroller, would hit the ground running when they were granted a new lease on life with the launch of the Xbox One. The Rythm-gaming scene, more paraplegic than healthy, needed the impulse for sure. I believe that a new entry in a franchise shouldn't be judged by what came before, even more sure if what came before has nothing to do with the core-gameplay. But at the same time its rather hard to boot RB4, see what's going on and then not feel taken seriously and robbed from your investment.
