We're back from the set =)

So Ice & I got put into the front pew during the Funeral Scene as Robert Miano, imdb.com/name/nm0583951/ gave the eulogy. Afterwards, they had a few of us extras carry out the 2nd coffin behind the "talent" and I got to be a pallbearer! We were done about 4 or 5am, and we headed back about 9am (still kinda fuzzy on details right now as I just woke up about 20 minutes ago).

How cool is this?

Ok, so my girlfriend does make-up FX & costuming in (so far) some small indie fims, and for the next month or so she's away working on her latest gig on a film called  Resurrection County being shot down in Fort Smith, AR. So today TheCrazyPerson (aka Ice, Smokes' wife) & I are gonna roll down there and get to be extras in the "Funeral Scene", presumably as mourners. Personally, I just want to see my lady that's been already gone for 2 weeks! But this is pretty cool too!

Children of Autumn

Funny thing about writing a role-playing setting/adventure, is that you're not really writing a complete story. You build a world, with it's peoples, their own agendas, fantastic locations, and sprinkle about hooks to pull players into your story. And any GM (game master) knows that players will always come up with something you hadn't thought of or in no way could expect.

Nerdier than thou?

I’ve always gotten the odd looks. Big guy, head buried in a book, hovering over my sketchbook laboriously working on a drawing of some bizarre nightmare, or planning out some devious plot for a D&D game. I can admit my social skills are limited, and I generally keep my circle of friends to a fairly small group who can somewhat "get" me. Add in my loves of comics, gaming, anime, and movies (even the really bad cheesy flicks) and I’m just a conglomerate of all things dorky. I can live with the odd looks, and have for 20+ years.
