Driving home from work last night I had a close call that shook me up a great deal. I was making a left to enter my neigboorhood just like normal when out of the corner of my eye I saw a few kids on BMX bikes in the adjoining alley.  Just as they come clearer into view one of them rides right out in front of my truck talking a cell phone ignoring his friends warning yells and my truck . I slammed on the brakes and stopped about a foot away from hitting him. Thank the Gods I wasn't driving fast or I might have killed or seriously hurt that kid.

Tuesday is one of my off days from my store and as such I use that day to pick up new Music, DVD & Game releases as well as some major gaming time on Live. Well yesterday I made a conscious decision to not turn on either the 360 or the Oldbox.  Instead I did some much needed work around the house, read a book and played guitar for a few good hours.

It was probably the most time I've spent playing guitar in the last 6 months and reminded me that I really shouldn't buy Guitar Hero2 when it comes out. I should really just put more time back into practicing.

In an effort to get my mind off of the cold & snow I've been planning my new vegatable garden. I finally have the space and I hope to have the time this spring & summer to put in a decent garden. I good friend of mine bought a tiller last spring so that has sold me on taking on this project.

I'm planning on planting a lot of potatos, some Roma tomatos, yellow beans and some basil plants for sure. Probably some lettuce and other greens as well. So any vegatable gardners here at 2old2play? If there are ,any plants / varieties you'd suggest?
