I set up my 32" Vizio TV yesterday. Before I forget to mention it, the customer service these people provide is unreal. I had some difficulties getting the thing set up (understatement), so I called technical support. A very patient young lady spent at least twenty minutes with me, walking me through, step by step. I asked her to forward me to a supervisor so I could report her efforts. I don't do that unless warranted. After dealing with Microsoft, Dell, and others, it was a total surprise. Imagine that, tech support that doesn't make you feel like an idiot.

The new a/c was installed Friday at 4:37 PM. At the time, the thermostat in the house read 100 degrees. I had intended to stay at home and work on inventory, but gave up and started driving in my truck because it had a/c. I went to Lowes. I went to Home Depot. I went to every store I have ever been to and looked for nothing. But, I was cool.

It's before 7:00 AM, and I can't believe I'm awake. I worked my rear end off this weekend. With the A/C kicking the bucket and the water heater croaking, I decided to try to make a little extra cash. Early Saturday morning I took a truckload of things I was tired of tripping over to the flea market. It rained most of the morning, but I still managed to pay the space rent and pocket 80 bucks or so. While that was a blessing, without the rain I would have done twice as much.

It's before 7:00 AM, and I can't believe I'm awake. I worked my rear end off this weekend. With the A/C kicking the bucket and the water heater croaking, I decided to try to make a little extra cash. Early Saturday morning I took a truckload of things I was tired of tripping over to the flea market. It rained most of the morning, but I still managed to pay the space rent and pocket 80 bucks or so. While that was a blessing, without the rain I would have done twice as much.

I'm an adult child of an alcoholic and a divorced family. My mom is recovering from the alcoholism after three failed marriages. God reached her through the Salvation Army, where she worked when she had nowhere else to turn. My life as a child at home was not much fun. I remember the first time I went to a friend's house and realized I was living in the city known as Dysfunction Junction. I was a quiet kid for the most part; just another one of the long-haired potheads. I didn't laugh much, and I detested high school.

Over the years, life throws us all a few curves, a few sinkers, and a slider here and there. Life happens. Still, sometimes, it really sucks.

While on vacation last week, my wife asked me if I wanted to convert the spare room into my gameroom and office, complete with a new HD TV. I've never had one. I'm glad she was driving, or I would have driven off the road.
