So she's been reading my blog again, even though she said she wouldn't anymore. It feels like the only time she contacts me is when she feels slighted by what I write in here. Any other time, she doesn't want to talk. She says all my perceptions are fallacy, but doesn't tell me where I'm wrong. She doesn't want to beat a dead horse.

Then why respond?

Sorry for the blog title, but it's the saying that carried me for years.

See, back in my youth I had to take a court ordered classes to better myself as a human. I won't bore you with details, but I did spend a night in the hoosegow and learned some very important lessons about how to live my life. Nothing earth-shattering, but definitely enlightening to a young twenty-something with a chip on his shoulder. Being angry men, we tended to "crankify" the touchy-feely stuff and macho it up. "Shit" is angry man slang for "emotions".

How's this for a kicker:

Little JohnnyBoyFloyd wanted a bicycle.  He wanted a bicycle so bad he could taste it.  So he boes to his mother.

"Mom, can I have a new bicycle?"

"You'll need to talk it over with your father, JB," replies Mom.

Little JBF waits ALL the long summer day for his father to come home from the office.  Dad shows up and JBF is stoked.

"Dad, I REALLY want a new bicycle."

The bio mom of the boy emailed today to say that she's taking him to Palm Springs this weekend.  I'll actually have grownup time to do stuff.  Like see Shoot 'Em Up, or some other grown up movie.  Friday night, my buddy's band is playing in the Valley, so I wanna go see them.  w00t!
