Friday morning, Mass Household:

Quiet whirring of the fan.  Small snoring noises from the big dog on the side of the bed.  Early morning birds out catching that worm.  Cool at 70 degrees, just perfect for sleeping the morning hours away.  Warmth next to me, happiness is with reach; velvety skin of a lovely wife, beautiful with tousled bed hair, bare shoulders peeking out of the covers.  I could have won the lottery, but I think all my luck was used for these moments:

You suckers live within driving distance, you better be at Howie's Game Shack on Saturday! Mission Viejo is going to be overrun with the madness of 2o2p. This will be my third, and if past years have been any indication, it's gonna be a hoot.

Alright- with Poonga talking about bikes, I've gotta chime in. I'm rebuilding an early 1984 HD Sportster 1000 that was in a "hard get-off to the right." I spent this last weekend putting the bitch back together. New forks, new tank, bars, risers, clamps, paint on the tins, etc. It's supposed to be an inexpensive build on a bike I got for a song, but when you start getting nit-picky, shit starts costing you cash.

Sooo, during my last month or so, we got a flyer from the school.  "FREE 11 x13 portrait with $10 sitting fee at YOUR KID'S SCHOOL!!!!" 

Sweet- the boy and I haven't had pictures made in eons, and with the new BabyGirl in our life, we couldn't really pass it up.  We made plans, and told the boy told comb his hair and wear nice jeans.  He's 11 and don't give a damn 'bout the way he looks.  So he had to have a bit of dirt knocked off.  Looked quite repectable.  We had the photos taken and we got the proofs a few weeks later.
