Are gamers being used?

You've all heard for the battle for the living room. Sony, Microsoft and Cisco(bought out Scientific Atlanta, makers of a lot of the set-top boxes used for Digital TV) are all interested and getting a peice of the home entertainment pie.

The concept is that they want to sell you a peice of equipment that will connect to your TV and be used as a content distribution device.

While Cisco is aiming for the market through your local Service Providers, Microsoft and Sony decided to target another group altogether to get their services into people's homes. Gamers!

I'm Excited!

It's amazing how just the right peice of news can change your persoective on a title.

I'd pretty much decided to forgo Halo 3 because I was never really a fan of the IP and had really disliked the beta they put out earlier this week. Now comes word that the game's Single Player will have 4 player Co-Op and I'm sold. I thought the 2 player co-op in Gears was great but 4 players playing through a story together sounds like much MUCH more fun.

Holy shit? Has it been a year already??

I just realised as I posted my first blog article here at 2o2p that I've been a registered member for exactly 1 year and 1 day.

I first stumbled onto the site while browsing the Chromehounds threads on the xbox official folums and seeing someone plug the site to a person looking for adult gamers and it's been part of my daily life ever since, either reading board posts or playing online, this place is consistantly a great community to come to and be part of.

Is Microsoft losing the wind from it's sails?

With the dust now settled from E3, we've come away with the knowledge that MS has a solid holiday season planned for gamers everywhere.   With just about every game gamers really want this holiday in it's fall lineup, MS is poised to knock one out of the park.
