Phelps wins 8th gold medal

OMG!!!!  Michael Phelps has won 8 gold medals in a single Olympics, beating Mark Spitz's long standing achievement of 7 gold medals in a single games.  He got his 8th gold in the 4x100 Medley relay.  I'm hella happy for him!  Congrats Michael Phelps!  I knew you could do it!  IMHO, This is one of the greatest athletic achievements of all time!  Anyone else think so?  Go team USA!!!

Men's 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay

All I can say is: O.....M.....G!!!!!! This relay race was freaking insane! There's no other way to describe it. I was actually standing up in front of the TV, cheering the guys on. The USA men won this race by a hair, crushing the previous world record (3:08.24) they set earlier that night (3:12.23) by 4 seconds! The four man team was led off by Michael Phelps, followed by Garrett Weber-Gale, then Cullen Jones, and anchored by Jason Lezak. The race started off with Australia in the lead, then the US and France catching up and passing them in the middle.

2008 Summer Olympics

The '08 Summer Olympics are finally here! I know this is a few days late, but it's the thought that counts right? I know I can't be alone in anxiously waiting for the Olympic games to start every four years, and then saddened when they end around 17 days later! Did anyone else watch the opening ceremony? That was crazy and unreal! Well yeah, for $300 million it better be spectacular, but wow!

Sleeping Pills

It's been a while since I've first tried sleeping pills.  I'd say at least a year has gone by.  I started using them because of an erratic work schedule where we can sometimes finish our shift, then have to be back and in uniform 7 hours later...sometimes more, sometimes less.  The pills are advertised as being non habit-forming, and they are so long as you keep their use under control.  Let it get out of hand and you'll end up using them every night and find that over time they don't seem to be as strong as they used to be.

Trying my hand at making a simple sig

So while browsing the forums and seeing so many awesome sigs, I figured I'd see if I could make a simple one despite a lack of artistic ability or image editing knowledge.  I don't have Photoshop and figured MS Paint wouldn't be up to the task (Although I do have an installation disc and code for PS 7) so I tried a program called PhotoFiltre, which is free and pretty simple.  This is the first version that came out and I posted it in my clan forum for some feedback and suggestions...
