New Windshield Day and WoW Account B.S.

Not only was the guy legit (see yesterdays blog), AGDSMA was also supernice, spoke english, only charged me 160 bones for the windshield (brand new), and did an awesome job installing it. ( I watched like a hawk the whole time) I tipped an extra 20 because I was still saving 90 dollars. Yay for the new windshield. And no chickens to be found...I didn't ask, but was tempted. (see previous blog)

Now...onto the next saga:

This should be interesting...

Well, I need a new windshield. How it got busted is not of importance or an interesting story at all. What is interesting is the guy I got to replace the new one. I do a google search for local auto glass dealers in the area. Call a few for price quotes and I am relatively happy with one in particular. I then stumble upon an ad claiming to have the lowest prices for auto glass replacement with free mobile service. Not a bad hook. I call. The phone rings about three times and the following diologue ensues:

Im going to AA.

Yes, I finally have no choice. Spending the morning today after wrapping up the busy work I came to the startling conclusion that "they" are all right. the first step is actually admitting to yourself that you have a problem. So I did. I promptly followed this realization without any procrastination to look up a local AA group and see when and where they meet. Guess what I find out?

Apparently there are no Achievements Anonymous chapters in southern California.

TCM:The Beginning and Over-G Fighters

"Date Night" was awesome. Went to Claim Jumpers steak house and had some southern fried chicken and biscuits (NO GRAVY!) and french fries. It was fantastic. The Pirate Queen had some breadbowl thing and the salad bar. I had cokes and the wench had iced tea. It was so nice to be able to get out of the house and just talk over a nice meal. Got to hear alot about her new job (Bank manager) and how happy she is with it. I think tonight gave her some sorely needed attention from me. I'll have to remind myself to do that more often...daily perhaps.

Taking The day Off!

So I go to work this morning. Nothing unusual. Only to find out that half the base is on a holiday for this Columbus guy's day. Now, far be it from me to be upset about having to work on a holiday...lord knows I have missed one too many to start being bitter about it now...but today I decided to go home early. None of my support  personnel I need are in for the day. Yay for me. Sometimes, it's good to be the king. Also good for subordinate developement...

Bored with the Box

Ok...so it's Sunday. I'm bored with my XBox. I think I beat the games too quick or something. I've been re-visiting NFS:Most Wanted. That game has an awesome replay value. I also tried Totem Ball from the XBL Arcade. Probably the stupidest thing I have seen since the Nintendo glove controller. I could only imaging if my neighbors were peeking in my window what they would think when they saw me in front of my TV, in my boxers, and waving my hands around like a circus monkey. Ha!

Eye of The Tiger

I just want to share the good news that last night in Halo I got 17 kills in one round during a pistols only slayer. Yes, thats right. I more than doubled my usual kill count! (2-5 kills per round) In addition I also played a round of king of the hill (The train one) where I got number 1 (ONE) for time spent in the point zone. Very encouraging evening of Halo. So...woot for me.  But everyone else still did better. |Rayne| and wmd Urinal Cake were the headshot kings on pistols. Unbelievable.

Weekend Review

Well, the weekend has come and gone. I am currently here at work dealing with the usual stuff that it is I get paid to do. This weekend I spent apprx 1/3 sleeping, 1/3 gaming, 1/3 watching movies, and 1/3 not answering my phone. Wait...that can't be right...

Made Underboss in The Godfather : The Game and got to level 38. I finished the whole plot missions and now all I have left is to bomb the hell out of the other 4 families' compounds. Am also down to my last 4 contract hits. This game is getting pretty difficult now.
