Been saving my pennies...expecting deliver of a Buttkicker tomorrow.

For those of you who have never heard of these before, it is basically a rumble kit for your ass. Once I get this attached to my playseat I'll be able to feel every bump in the road when racing. Can't friggin' wait. Hopefully I can get it up and running before tomorrow nights 2old4forza spec race.

Here's a video I made earlier of me running a few laps in one of 2Old4Forza's January Spec cars, the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

I strapped the camera to my forhead becausee I though it would be cool too see it from my point of view instead of a static over the shoulder angle.  I wasn't paying attention when I saved it though, somehow I ended up with 4:3 standard def video.  I'll upload it again in HD later, and probably cut out the first lap where the screens are bad out of frame.

 I got my shifter mounted to the playseat. I bolted two brackets together, drilled out the wholes so a 1/4 inch bolt would fit through and bolted it all to the shifter plate. The cable that plugs into the shifter goes on the bottom of it, so I either had to create something that elevated it a couple of inches or mount it offset the way I did.

I stopped by Wal-Mart on my way home from work today and picked up a cheap TV stand and coffee table so I could start renovating my rig. As promised here's some photos of my progress (ignore the butt ugly carpet, we're getting new floors soon):

I still need to move the shifter to the adapter on the seat and clean up the wires on the back of the monitor stand. Also the speakers aren't connected yet.

I got them set up and tested them out. They're frickin' awesome. It's going to take some getting used to since now I actually have to get on the brakes like I would in a real car. Here's a quick video of me trying them out.
