It may be a bit early, but since it is currently 70 out, and expected to get warmer over the rest of the week, I decided to get an early start on the growing season and have most of my seedlings started,

Turnips - 54 plants across 18 pots

greenbeans - 18

zucchini - 9

cucumbers 9

pumpkins - 2 varrieties 6 each

Snake Gourds - 6

Spaghetti squash - 6

Butternut squash - 12

Tomatos - 2 varieties 6 each

basil- 4

cilantro -4

dill -4

passion flower- 4

and some other random flowers

Today is going ot be a mess, I have a 3 foot tall stack of papers on my desk, that makes up only half of one contract and an inbox that needs to be a candidate on the Biggest Loser.....I am not looking forward to the work, but after lunch is when it all really starts.

I don't remember turning 10, I don't remember even turning 20, 21, or 25.....so why is it getting to me that in a few days I'll be 30?  all I can guess is that in the past 10 years I can count my normal accomplishments on one hand....Graduated form college, got married, bought a house.....and that's about it.    I guess part of it is that with all of the stupid thinks I've done, I never expected to make is this long.  now, on the list of reduculously stupid thing I could write a book (and probably should except that the statute of limitations is still in effect for a few of my adventures.)

I had an awesome long weekend, and got to mix 2 of my favorite things….Food and guns. I spent Saturday making a large batch of seafood gumbo and distributed it amongst the family. When Sunday came around I had some free time so I hung around an unmentionable gun store and ended up sniping a deal from the store’s cash for guns program. At the out of pocket cost of $30 plus a $50 value trade, I ended up walking away with 2 guns.    The first was a Heritage Arms Rough Rider .22 revolver, a fun little plinker that depending on its accuracy may be my new small game season gun, and second was a 2
