I spent a good portion of today bleaching the coffee stains out of my coffee mugs....yeah, I totally feel like a wild party animal today.

Since it has been a while since I last posted, here's a bit of an update…. Last Friday my wife drug me to see HAIR at our local Theater…..being surrounded by a bunch of doped up baby boomer hippies trying to relive the good old days, mixed with a pile of 16yr old want-to-be hippies is not my idea of a fun night out.

I think this has been about the longest period of time that I have been happy without having life bitchslap me back to reality.  It has been a long time since I dreaded going to sleep, I've been drinking less, eating less, my weight is dropping, there doesn't appear to be any money issues in the near future, we have new Windows Phones (btw they are awesome).   But not everyo ne in my office shares my good mood as evident by the picture below, taken by the fridge for my section.....

Long story short,..another new toy, this time a Marlin 795 (semi auto .22lr)/scope combo landed in my lap. This will be a fun plinking gun, and something affordable to shoot while ammo prices are sill so high.

the pic is not mine, but is same model/scope (I don't have a sling on it yet).

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but hope to at some point this week.

Last week we were the victims of a theft. Nothing valuable was taken and the inside of our house was never disturbed. What they took was the 40 pound s tone dragon from the top of our mailbox. Approximate value; $12. The individuals also took many other statues from around the neighborhood.  I know it isn’t as bad as having someone break into your house, but I have decided to take steps to protect our home anyway.

Against my normal habits, I went to Gander Mt today. I know, I have had issues wih them but they are just so much more convienant than the 45min drive to Cabelas....anyway, I ran into an older gentleman with his arm in a sling, trying desparatly to return a gun. I try not to interfear with in store arguments, but this man was being very profesional while the store clerk kept appologizing and saying there was nothing he could do. So, I stopped to talk to this gentleman.
