I've been playing Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the Earth lately, which is what inspired this.

"Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn," Lux chanted as Halloween's full moon reached its apex.

For those of you that asked, here's a brief description of my novel. Call it a teaser trailer. I hope it's enough to entice you to want to read it once I finally finish it. And in case I didn't mention it before, it's a fantasy, and yes, I'm a nerd.

Well, editing, but you get the idea. I finished what I thought was my final draft of my novel, including overhauling the ending. Unfortunately, I found a few discrepancies in the timeline, and a few tweaks I want to add. So, I'm doing another read through. It's going much faster this time, though. I'm not having to change much of anything other than a few too many occurrences of "that" and some sneaky adverbs I overlooked. Once I finish this run-through I'll be ready to let someone else read it and give me their opinion.

I finally heard back from Glimmer Train. Unfortunately, they passed on my story. It was an auto-response email, so they didn't give any reason why. It's a little depressing because I had such high hopes, but at least now I can stop worrying about the damn thing and get back to work. I have nine stories to do some market research on so I can get them submitted, and the book to finish, not to mention the new writing course I'm starting, so even though they passed on me it's still something of a relief.

Life goes on, and so do I.
