Earlier this week I took a little time off work to lend a set of hands with a couple of other guys putting out some mulch at our church. I figured it be a nice warm day of spending a couple of hours doing something for someone other than myself.  Quiet.  Maybe even enjoyable.  Two things happened that day that I found both humorous and sad.  

I can't figure out for the life of me what all the hub bub is about with PCP ( the old one, not the spectacular new policy Doodi put in place).  To read the blogs over the last week you'd think someone had perma-banned them from the site or raped their dog or something.  I nibbed around a bit thinking maybe there was a thread somewhere I missed, a blog I hadn't seen or something.  I know I'm not the most active site member, but I'm guessing I'm still in the top 200 on the site as far as time logged in.

So I'm  T minus less than a week to get ready for a LAN and I haven't done shit.  Not a bit of Spring cleaning, spring planting or much anything else.  I'm guessing it's gonna be a busy weekend for me.   I don't really mind actually, having an event like this works as great motivation to do some of the things I've been putting off for a while anyway.  I'd probably let things go 'til May were it not for the deadline looming.

In other news...

So I'm  T minus less than a week to get ready for a LAN and I haven't done shit.  Not a bit of Spring cleaning, spring planting or much anything else.  I'm guessing it's gonna be a busy weekend for me.   I don't really mind actually, having an event like this works as great motivation to do some of the things I've been putting off for a while anyway.  I'd probably let things go 'til May were it not for the deadline looming.

In other news...

So I go to the bank at lunch to deposit my check.  Normally I'd drop it in the night box or go through the drive through but today I was out of deposit slips so I went inside to grab some more and just do it at the walk up teller.  I get there to find 4 people in line waiting.  Not too bad, there's 3 CSR people up there so this shouldn't take long.  I was wrong!  Apparently only 1 of those people actually was helping anyone the other two were just there as some sort of living mannequin display or something.

Unlike some clans, Old Man Mafia isn't a game centric group.  We started that way.  Immersed in nightly Halo 2 marathons for months and years.  Over time tastes started to shift and like many clans we found ourselves playing all sorts of games on our shiny new 360s.   Long story short, our clan is all over the map on games these days.  That's were the 2o2p community at large comes in.
