Before I get too deep into this blog I should start by stating that this blog in no way is a reflection of the policy of this site.  Though I admit a recent topic brought up in the Off Topic forum was the reason the wheels in my head started spinning, this isn't really about that.  If the site's policy is No Religion, No Politics on the general boards, then live with it or get out.  And just as an aside...if that is the policy I would ask the mods to enforce it evenly.  There's times where such a discussion is allowed to go on because "it's been polite so far".  That's no excuse.  Either th

Every year on this day the Veterans who work to keep us free and safe get lauded with the much deserved praise they are owed.

However.....

This day is special for another reason.  It just so happens to be my beautiful wife's birthday.  Every year it's HAPPY VETEREN'S DAY!! and oh yeah, happy birthday to you too.  Well, I'm going to take a spot along the blog header to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife.  You are a blessing to my life beyond what I deserve and I love you.

I wouldn't normally do this.  Maybe 'cause I'm bored or because I just need to get it off my chest, I'm writing it anyway.  This is really just for my own benefit.  I needed to get it down in "print" while memories were still fresh.  One day I'll forget some of it and I just wanted to be able to look back and read and remember.  Some of you have been to my house and have met our cat Duke.  You might find this interesting.  Most of you haven't and I don't blame you if you just move on now.  Like I said, this is really more for me than for you...

I currently have a GameFly 2 out at at time plan.  I've been on the verge of just cancelling it several times due to lack of anything interesting that I wanted to play.  Now however, I have the opposite problem.  I'd like to get them to ship out "Borderlands" next week and I've always had good luck getting new releases shipped as long as I've had nothing else at the top of my Que and was due for a new game to ship.  The problem is that I currently have 2 games out and I'm not ready to send either back yet.

I have purposely remained mostly quite on the topic of Health Care Reform for the last several months because quite frankly it's all very confusing to me.  Dealing with insurance companies is confusing.  Dealing with the government is confusing.  Sorting through the noise of both health care workers and lobbyist and political hacks and pundits is doubly confusing.   I still have a lot of questions but I am slowly starting to formulate my own opinion on the matter.
