She's in another castle!

I guess I’m going to find out how good Lenovo is about fixing my laptop. After dealing with M$ customer support (twice in a month) and then dealing with my cable company, I’m feeling uneasy. It seems like good customer support/service is a thing of the past. I have my fingers crossed and I’m going to make the call.

On a better note…..

A Jasper In The Box!

I don't know if this will help anyone looking for a Jasper, but it worked for me. I printed what Transman (clan member) and the net told me to look for. So no matter what, with my crib sheet, I couldn't forget.

I have a Jasper Xbox. They are hard to find in the "Pro" and don't exist in the "Elite" as far as I can tell. Best bet finding one is the "Arcade".

Twilight Zone Gears!

I was going to post this blog yesterday morning, but work got in the way….so I don’t know where to start.

Boy or Girl?

Lately, I've been asked, "Char, why is it that you're a girl, but choose to play a dude character in games such as MGS?" Well, thank you for asking such a good question, which I'm only too happy to answer.

There are many varied reasons why I -- a girl -- elect to play a dude character in games such as MGS. Here are just a few of them:

1.) A girl character draws far too much attention. "Oooo, I shot a girl," or worse "Arrrgh, I got shot by a girl!." Anonymity is best. Blend in with the crowd, shoot someone, disappear.

POP Goes Casual

The new Prince of Persia’s not as good as "Sands of Time," but I just started playing it. When I get more time with it, I'll let you know. So far, it's quite beautiful looking, which I like. What really concerns me, though, is that they really dumbed this game down for the mass market. :(  The game actually tells you when to block (continual tutoring), and no matter what, you can’t die! The game is still satisfying to play (just wish they gave me something better to sink my teeth into) and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the game.

char, It's The Real Thing!

It's been brought to my attention by a 2O2P member that someone on a different site is using the same nick. It might be a coincidence, but the point is: IT'S NOT ME! I do find it funny that they spell "char" with a lower-case c, like I do here. I know everyone is entitled to pick a good nick for themselves, and there's always the chance of duplicates, but this other person joined that other site almost a year after I started here in 2O2P. Also, I've been using the nick "char" online at video gaming sties that I use to belong to--IGN was one of them--for more than eight years now.

It's Hard To Resist!

Resistance 2! Been playing R2 with my clan and having the best time. I’m beginning to realize that my clan could play “Go Fish” and still have a rip-roaring good time. No matter what the game, it’s always about having a blast. (Unless you have to hear me whine about not wanting to host the room)

Doughbaby

Well, I’m happy to say that the bison beef stew I made last week came out good. I put a bit too much wine in it. Next time, less wine. Maybe I’ll try a beer base and see what that tastes like. Now, my biscuits were another story. They turned out more like square pucks….lol. I didn’t have a round glass the right size, so I used a square one. They didn’t turn out as fluffy as they should have. I think I overworked the dough. Still OK, just not that fluffy, flaky goodness I was hoping for. SuicideSquirrel's Honey Butter recipe really helped them be more edible.

Happy Halloween!

All my hummingbirds have headed south for the winter, except for one. She left and was gone for five days just to return. I don’t think she was ready to head out and came back home. I watched her grow from a tiny baby into a juvenile humbird. She stayed for another three weeks, and then left again. I made sure she had fresh sugar water every day to fatten her up for the trip south. She got so use to seeing me (not having to fight with other humbirds for the feeder) that she would chirp to me every morning. I’ll miss seeing her.
