For those that are curious about the writing contest:

Im building a list of associates that I know will rank the articles justly, and will do it promptly with good results.  They are people that Ive worked with on the magazine, some editors, and some people that value the opinions of others.

After getting some figures from TANK on his mirroring of our last issue (#3) and some of this issue it turns out my download figures were way off.  I had roughly 14k of "known" downloads, but our site went down shortly after the digg attack that month.

Turns out, after I get tanks figures and roll all the downloads we are actually looking at 45k downloads (thats like 50% of Nashua, NHs population).  Not too shabby.

It was tougher then I thought to get issue #4 out with me being on vacation.  Mainly because Im in and out of the house going to the playground with the kids, and doing family stuff.  We pulled it off (although some of the communications was on IM from my phone at "one stop fun").

Tomorrow we will push it out on digg.com and see how the response is.  Hopefully its even better then the last; each has been a progression of more downloads and more diggs.  Maybe the site will stay up now that digg.com has been redesigned and less massive focus on front page flash crowds.

Dear Blog,  Today I tried to avoid real work.  That didnt happen too well, had to stop at the store and buy a shelving unit for my computer room.  Why?  Because I need more places to stack shit (see prior blogs about a messy desk cleaning).

So its an hour before the contest deadline, and Ive gotten less than half of the submissions (which is still kick ass mind you) - but for those that may see my blog and "forgot" - here is your reminder :)

A few have asked for a few days extension due to family issues, travel, and other situations that come up in RL.  Im not against extensions for a few days, but I have to have a heads up on those specific situations else I dont know who Im waiting on.

Damn straight..when do I get a chance!  Share!!! Share!!!

Not really all that much different :-|  Although I worked on cleaning it for about three and a half hours with mild distractions.  I guess the issue is that the camera doesnt pickup on the three inches of dust that coated it all :)  Moving every item and dusting each off is a major task.  Oh well, I can use my desk to write and stuff now.

Well Liam slept for like a half hour, not as good as I thought.  So Im cleaning the desk while he plays.  Hes my little computer geek...
