Too many games too little time

Halo 3, Gears of War, Rock Band, Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, N+, Rez and Burnout Paradise. The list of games I've either played or wanted to play all week. It's weeks like this that make me wish I could just say "screw it" take a couple days off work and laze around the house playing games like I was a high school kid again. Of course if my daughter wasn't quite as addicted to Viva Pinata I might have played more of the others. She's still too young for daddy to be fraggin' noobs (halo/gears) or shagging boobs (mass effect) while she's still up and wanting to watch.

New shiny...

I'm admittedly a geek and proud of it. Few things are as enjoyable as getting a new piece of tech to play with, shiny as it were. Thus the highlight of this weekend was spending a little of my bonus money to replace my 2GB iPod Nano with an 8GB Zune.

Five minutes with Burnout Paradise

I picked up Burnout Paradise from my local Best Buy today at lunch. It was a good day to telecommute anyway, which made the trip that much easier. I have found that using the same windows live ID for Xbox Live and the MSN messenger account I use at work does motivate me to actually work when I telecommute but that's besides the point.

The cake is a lie.

the cake is a lie.
the cake is a lie.
the cake is a lie.
the cake is a lie.

So I finished portal last night. I admit weakness and will say that I did get stuck twice and resorted to a walk through just for those parts. One I should have been able to figure out but I approached it wrong. The second I would have never figured out, but probably should have.

Call of Duty 4 mini review

I've found I like to write about the narrative of the games I play and share what I think and how I feel once I've reached their end. The narrative and characters in a game are much more important to me than the game play or graphics. Game play and graphics are important but it's the story that will capture my imagination and keep me playing a game.

Xbox360 repair time line, part 5 final

12/23/2007 Merry Christmas, the xbox has returned.  With an adventure.

So 9am today the family woke up.  I headed downstairs to get breakfast for our toddler while my wife and newborn rested a bit more.  I walk out the front door to get the paper at 9:30am and find a note from FedEx taped to the door.

"Sorry we missed you".
