Xbox360 repair time line, part 2

Short update:

12/12/2007 Coffin delivered to repair center by UPS.  So much for 3 day shipping, cursed weekends not counting as business days.  The service center hasn't yet acknowledged receipt at least according to service.xbox.com.

Xbox360 repair time line, part 1

So while I'm without a console I figured I'd blog through the process of getting the stupid thing serviced.  I figured the max turn around time should be no more than 8 weeks.  We'll see how well we actually do.

11/27/2007 First graphic corrupting screen freeze
11/29/2007 RRoD + call to support.
12/02/2007 The machine no longer passes POST, no matter how long I leave it cool.
12/05/2007 (or 12/06/2007, I wasn't home) Coffin arrives
12/07/2007 Packaged and dropped off at my local UPS shipment location.

Red and Green for Christmas

This was my current rig. Impressive isn't it?

It's actually a bit more neat now. The wires are all neatly tied off, the power brick hides behind the monitor, the power strip is on the floor so it's more hidden. The DVD stand with my games and movies is now closer too, off to the left with my guitars leaning next to it instead of the bookcase.

Rock Band - Midnight at Walmart

I'll get back to halo and talking about my thoughts of the single player eventually... honest... It's just that there are so many other games to play right now.

So the Walmart in my town is open 24 hours and my daughter has decided that sleep is for noobs.  This is a good combination because I can generally take her to the store and let her run some of that energy off while she looks at jammies and playground balls.

Halo 3 - prologue

So I've had a few days to digest the ending of Halo 3.  I think I can sum up my feeling initially as simply "it is over, it is done".  No real surprise... until I went back and redid the ending on legendary.

Bioshock

I could start with Halo 3, since I very recently "finished the fight", but I'm not quite done internalizing how I feel about how the story played out. Bioshock however was a game with shades of gray in the game play but left a definite and strong emotional response behind.
