Wow, someone must have been watching as I typed in my blog entry and felt a little guilty. Not too long after I posted it, I received an email from House of Blues telling me that along with the tickets, I was getting a meet and greet with the band before the concert. The kids are really going to enjoy this. I'm such a nice dad.

Yes, the tickets for Billy Talent arrived by courier yesterday from Microsoft and when I looked at the seat location on one I thought, pretty good. Centre ice at the arena and end of the aisle three rows up( yes there is general admission but my kids are still a little young to be in the mosh pit ). Then I looked at the other ticket. This is where the wtf comes in. Also an aisle seat, AT THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SECTION. They are consecutive tickets, last seat in row D and first seat in row C, and they were free but how stupid is this. I'm sure the young ones will figure something out.

I got an email from Xbox Canada yesterday wanting for my phone # so they can ask me a skill testing question. Get the call this morning, answered the question(got a headache it was so hard. (5+5)/2x5). So I won tickets for the Billy Talent concert in Ottawa this weekend. Gonna give them to my kids as a treat for the end of exam week. They wouldn't let me trade them in for an H3 invite. So the young ones will be rockin' out to this on Sat.

Well, my daughter is at it again. She's writing a new story (her last story was entered into the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest, was accepted and we're waiting for the results. The contest lasts a full year divided into quarters). It's up to approx. 18,000 words now. It's amazing to see her sit down at the computer and just pound away for sometimes over an hour non-stop. At times the story just seems to flow out of her fingertips. Here's a sample of the start of the new one. Sorry for all the reading. Oh, also this is just the first draft:
