 I swear I have a gremlin problem. First my computer, then my car. I go to leave for work and 'damn' won't start. WTF? Check this and that. Nothing. Phone work for a ride (I work at one end of town and live at the other. Walkable but would have been late). I finished work at 4am and a coworker gave me a lift and we boosted my car. Success! I'm just glad a cop didn't drive by cause sure as shit we would have been answering some questions at that time of the morning.

Finally found a trailer on youtube for The Kingdom. Doesn't look too bad.

 Ya, ya, ya, I know, I wasn't gone very long and headline news it wasn't. My computer died (sort of) and I thought I was screwed. Everything locked up on my daughter a few days ago and no amount of key-pressing or mouse-clicking was doing any good so I shut it down. Wait a couple of seconds, turn it back on and WTF!!! Lights flashing on the tower, all kinds of beeping from inside the tower, command screen of the monitor with all kinds of gobbldygook I have no frickin clue what any of it means and then nothing.

 Ya, ya, ya, I know, I wasn't gone very long and headline news it wasn't. My computer died (sort of) and I thought I was screwed. Lights flashing on the tower, all kinds of beeping from inside the tower, command screen of the monitor with all kinds of gobbldygook I have no frickin clue what any of it means and then nothing.

 It has finally snowed. Everything is white. Of course it's the day AFTER Christmas. It's good to know that Mother Nature has a sense of humour.

I hope everyone had at least a semi-enjoyable holiday and got everything they were hoping for. It was great having so many football games to watch but being a Bengals fan, I'd rather not talk about that right now thank you very much. The kids and I spent Christmas eve watching our favourite holiday movie, The Ref. Plenty of laughs all around (with all apologies to National Lampoon but I just can't stand the Griswalds).

 It has finally snowed. Everything is white. Of course it's the day AFTER Christmas. It's good to know that Mother Nature has a sense of humour.

 Today looks like it might just be okay. Sunny, not too cold, no headache(so far) so we may be able to get in the rounds of obligatory holiday visitations.

 The new trailer for Grindhouse is out and this movie(s?) looks weird but that's to be expected. One question. Will Kurt Russell ever stop being so f*ckin' cool?

.....the holiday weekend. Picked up the kids in Kanata Friday afternoon and got home just before the freezing rain hit. That was good but it eliminated a chance to pop into my parents place for a visit. Grocery shopping across the street resulted in my daughter wiping out on the ice. Got to watch hapless Xmas shoppers slid around the mall parking lot. I know, bad karma points for laughing at the pain of others.
