Ok, here is what is going on. Stacy's dad has to be put into a nursing home immediately. Stacy and her brother are going to be working frantically trying to find somewhere that takes Medicaid for him to stay. He is not doing well, and Stacy said that the doctor (who was gone before I got there) made it sound that this is pretty much it. He has had to have mittens put on his hands due to his belligerence and he just doesn't seem to be there any more. Stacy is having to have him declared incompetent. Needless to say this has hit us pretty hard, Stacy the most.

So, yesterday I get a call from Stacy letting me know they had to take Stacy's dad to the hospital. He had some swelling of the legs and was conscious, but non-responsive. Meaning, they were asking him questions and he was basically rambling about nothing. A little background, this is Stacy's biological dad who has Alzheimer's. So, fast forward a bit, I met Stacy at the hospital and went in and saw her dad. He was TOTALLY out of it mentally. He knew who I was at first, but then was rambling about a lot of nothing. My heart broke a little. Seeing him like this is very sad.
