Small Town America

I had a recent event in my life that reminded me, of my love for Small Town America. A close family friend had passed away and wanted to be burried with his children in the small rural town of Marseilles Ohio. Well to make a long story short. During the drive to the cemetrary every single car, semi, tractor, etc..... pulled over to the side of the road to show respect. Hats where taken off when we drove by people in there yards. The local Methodist church opened there doors for us and even feed us after the funeral.

"In Valor there is hope"

Hello all,

As we all go out and enjoy our three day weekend, please take a moment to remember what Memorial Day is all about.

"Soldier, rest! Thy warfare o'er,
Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking,
Dream of battled fields no more.
Days of danger, nights of waking."

Sir Walter Scott

Loyalty

Is it my imagination or is Company loyalty to it's employees not really there anymore.   Is the day where you can  feel secure in your job gone?  I know a business is there to make money.  Money is what makes the world go around.   But when did it change where a company feels they can step on it's employees in order to improve there bottom line.  Is it not the employee that helps them achieve there goals?

Wedding

Hi all,

Well this October 6 I am at the ripe age of 37 getting married for the first time.   My lovely fiancee who is 33 has also never been married.  Believe it or not we met on Eharmony.   where both from small towns and actually only live about 15 minutes apart.  I am sure our paths have crossed many times, but it took the internet to make the connection.  Funny how that works.
