This year is gonna rock!  I can tell.  I brought in the New Year with a very special guy and life is good!  Apologies to all of my other friends.  I am just sooooo busy right now.  I have a huge Italian family to get to know.  Yesterday I met the grand-daughter I have never had.  She will be 5 next week and cute as the dickens.  A little devilish, too, which is good!  We bonded immediately and she told me I was her best friend.  w00t!  Her Mommy and Daddy are pretty cool, too.  We play WoW together.  You know, the family that plays together, stays together??  But, it was a 2 hour drive home

I have been taken out of my every day real life and dropped into a movie scene.  Well, at least that is how it feels.  Gerry was born and raised in New York.  The Bronx, actually.  He has this accent that I have already gotten used to and don't really "hear" any more.  Well, not much, anyways.  And, he is a Catholic Italian, all the way.  Put New York, Catholic, Italian and family gathering together, and I have been transported to a place that is so foreign to me I wasn't sure what to do.

First they told me it was totalled.  Boohoo.  Then they said, oh wait, it really isn't!  So, I give it to the man at the body shop to have his way with her.  The insurance company called today.  Oops, well, somebody made a mistake and, yes, repair went over the 75% to consider it totalled, to 83%.  What does that mean?  They found my 13 year old Honda Civic Hatchback to be worth $4500!  What?  I only paid $9000 more than that brand new!  13 years ago!!!!!  So, I got a friend to take me to get my car.  oooooo, she is beautiful!!!!!  She's all shiney with all new front end parts.  And she's w

If it's not the weather, it's work schedules.  I have had this whole Christmas season flipped over and turned inside out and backwards, and I still come out on top!  Changing plans at the last minute can be fun.  Or not.  So, it seems I am not having Christmas Eve at my place after all.  What this time?  Work schedule.  Not mine, my grandson's.  Yikes!  I have a hard time believing he is old enough to hold down a job, and starts college in the fall.  Anyways, it is HIS work schedule that screwed things up.  So, now my daughter is having Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, both!  One for each s
