I have officially cancelled the NE Lan.  It just wasn't meant to be.  But now my road trip I want to take instead is growing steadily.  This is the short list:

Knoxville:  330 miles

Richmond:  434 miles

Manchester:  596 miles

New York:  255 miles

Ottawa:  441 miles

Toronto:  452 km  (how many miles is that???)

So, major disappointment that the NE Lan isn't happening, but, I have other plans!  Oh yeh, the final deadline is still a few days away, but, I don't expect anything to change.  I still want to take my road trip.  Except, it may be more convenient now to fly part of it and rent a car for the rest.  I luv this online community.  I have "met" so many people I want to see in real life.  But, the part I hate about it is they are all over the world!  Many states to cover, and England and Australia.  Prolly take me the rest of my life.

Disappointing!  No, I haven't cancelled yet, but it looks like I will.  There just simply are not enuf people going, or even wanting to go.  Well, a lot want to go, but just can't for whatever reason.  I know I took this job on for my own reasons, mostly just to keep busy and perhaps have some fun....  But, it was a helluva lot of work at first, getting bids, hunting for the right location, etc.  I don't understand, but then, why would I?  Lessons learned...

1.  Location is important....nothing wrong with the location, that I can see.

2.  Cost...cheap is best!

I have this way of thinking I call "ricochet", which is just a bouncing around of thoughts where one thought causes your mind to ricochet to another, seemingly unrelated thought.  That's what I was doing at the gym this morning.  Wow, I sorta got a headache from all that bouncing around!

Man, I hate when this happens!  I wrote a whole blog, longer than my usual, and LOST IT!!!  I dunno what I did, but it disappeared, and now I have run out of steam.

The countdown!  Yes!  The New England Lan will be happening April 25-27, 2008 in Manchester, NH.  Come one!  Come all!  7 weeks and one day!  It will be a blast.  And for you that can't come for the weekend?  Drop by any time on Saturday for a meet and greet.  See what you are missing.  Craziness, and.....fun!  Catch y'all later.
