According to my window we might've gotten a couple inches of snow last night.  According to the weather bureau some places around here may have gotten as much as 8 inches.  So a few minutes after I wake up I go in the kitchen to make my son breakfast and he comes out to me and says he's got his mom on his cell and she wants to talk to me.

I got my son last night after work, and as some of you know I pulled a couple 13 hour shifts (boss did me a favor) so I could afford Rock Band for him for Christmas.  The intention was to give it to him last night.  Yes I know, its not Christmas yet.  But as some of you also know, in the interest of quality checking I had...opened it...and...tested...each piece of equipment to verify the quality of what my son was going to receive for Christmas.  So yeah, pretty much had to give it to him last night.

My landlord came by earlier this evening to say hi since he was out at the building.  He mentioned if I ever had any money troubles or needed him to hold a rent check to let him know.

As I mentioned in another blog, last week I was able to eek out 10 hours of overtime as a favor from the facility manager.  My job doesn't really lend itself to overtime, perhaps sneaking in an extra 15 minutes by punching in a little early or having last-minute problems to take care of that have never resulted in more than an hour of OT.  So I asked for a favor, he granted it, and I pulled a couple 13 hour shifts at the end of last week to help out with Christmas shopping this year.

I told the facility manager last night that if he can get HR to go along with it, I'm in.  He told me he could manipulate them to get this, so we'll see.  I'll know more on Monday, maybe.
