Hopefully I should be on, my lap tones are coming down, I've got my 207 down to 2.16.477, but can't seem to get it much lower, don't really know what I'm doing wrong!! W

With that sort of time, i would say that corner commitment is a trouble for you. I would assume that you are struggling with the corner entry and as such you are probably not hitting your apex with conviction :)
There is a demo lap in the golf on page 1, which may help? (the car is an inter)
Hmm, not sure what i'd suggest - I can tune a 207 for you, or you could try on of the ones i have ready. The civic is awesome but i cannot drive it as it is too quick in my hands. I should have a good battle with Gizzie in the Lexus :D
@Tourni: Would like to test the Lexus RWD. Can you sent me the tune?
I look for any RWD tunes for this series, because I am so unsure, which car I want to drive. All I know is, that the 1991 M3 is the wrong car for me. It hates me! And I hate him!
Id love to give the civic a try, just to see how a decent cat is tuned up n handles.
I'll watch the footage from your demo lap and have a practice before the shake down tonight. Think I might need some tuition at some point though.
See you all tonight.

So, I followed you for a few laps to see what was happening and my observations were,
Slightly too much speed into copse that wasn't allowing you to accelerate out of the corner as much as i could. (could be tune causing this), maggotts & becketts were pretty good, you kept a nice tight line with plenty of speed comin gout of becketts.
Stowe, you struggled abit with getting the turn in right, most people turn in to early and don't realise how wide the exit is . Try and tail of the braking into the last part of the turn in, this should bring you to the apex and by then you should be feeding on the throttle.
Vale & abbey were your biggest times losses by far though, Outbraking yourself caused you to go wide at vale which left a very tight entry into club. Try and come in sharp to vale so you exit around the middle, this will make club alot easier to manage. Abbey, you need to be hitting that first curb and with the car aimed at the 2nd, as soon as you hit that first curb get the power on.
Booklands is a test of braking skill, those who get it right will be adjusting the brakes all the way in to keep the nose going for the apex, swing out at luffield and practice getting that exit onto the main straight. you should just clip the inside curb on about 75% power if you get it right.

hates me. FWD. fast enough not a beauty enough data.
As you can see I used every free minute to do training laps. There are some hours in my home office left, but after next Wednesday it won't be the same. I think I will have 4 weeks in a lonely hotel without an xbox. Money for living, but no fun with 2old4forza. :-((
I watched many rounds from ChurchPro, Tourni, Gizzie, Cyberdawg, ... and I think I know, where I loose time:
Turn 01 - Copse Corner Okay for me.
Turn 02 - Maggots Corner Hmmmm.
Turn 03 - Becketts Corner Hmmmm.
Turn 04 - Chapel Curve Okay for me.
Hangar Straight No Problem :-)
Turn 05 - Stowe Corner Okay for me.
Turn 06 - Vale I am too slow.
Turn 07 - Club Corner I am too fast and sliding.
International Pits Straight No Problem :-)
Turn 08 - Abbey Second or third gear?

Turn 10 - Village Corner Fun.
Turn 11 - The Loop Fun.

Wellington Straight No Problem :-)
Turn 13 - Brooklands Corner Hmmmm.
Turn 14 - Luffield Corner Too fast / sliding.
Turn 15 - Woodcote Corner Fun.
National Pits Straight No Problem :-)
Well, those little mistakes - it seems that I never had one fast and clear lap without one mistake at Silverstone - are adding and in the end ….. 6-10 seconds behind the aliens.
Yesterday I took a ride with Tourni’s Altezza and in the evening he drove that same car so much quicker than I, wow. I will look again - I saved yesterday’s training session. Hopefully I’ll find some seconds and ….. may be that is the key for Silverstone …. my comfortable rhythm. The inbetween from “Come on, push, faster!” and “Calm down, let it roll!”.
For today is my plan to ride that Altezza and every new car, which someone will built: RWD, Club Class and then send a tune to me.
And I will go for the first time over the whole race distance.
See you!
JDANKERT
PS: Very special thanks to ChurchPro and to Tourni!
The Altezza is very safe to drive and i'd suggest driving without the AI, they were brutal!! The absolute key to driving these cars is slow in and fast out, alot of the corners you will be holding steady throttle as a minimum or accelerating from the apex.
You are aiming for 2.11's in the altezza, i'm in the 2.10's
Hey Tourni, did you get a chance to look over that Mustang? Is everything ok on it? I really need to make one of these practice sessions. I've not even had a chance to see how my car stacks up against competition.
It looked good, i've sent the car back. Couple of things i noticed though, grip level looked a little low - check to see if you can get 2.04/2.03. Most cars arent running aero :)
Let me know if you want me to help build some thing, the car may well be quick enough though.

I's got A 1.024 rating on the benchmark. so that's pretty close to maxed out grip-wise.

Yeah its all for silverstone mate, perhaps it did have, I thought i saw it as some thing else when i was checking :)

The best I've been able to hit with the mustang is 2:09.011 Guess I'd better build another car.
looking for seconds, full ride 35 rounds ant then ...... Round 19 ....... no wheel, cause the battery is empty, And what is worse? No new ones in the house! I have to leave for buying some!!!

PS: First time today with the Altezza 2.18.500 ! upps and Tourni thinks I can reach a 2.11.???????
I used the Altezza in yesterdays track night. Wow, those drag tyres on "The Ring" were something between a slipery and a astounishing experience. I will never do again!!!!
Someone did the marketing for this event, right? Did it go well? How many other drivers will race against us 2o4f/2o4e?
Which Golf is that Tourni? Before I left I had the 2006? Running very nicely and the tune was smooth. A later GTi looked a beast on paper but I cannot get the tune right. Weight transfer seems all wrong.
I built an Alfa 155 Q4 in the Club class, and managed to put it around in 2:08.4. I'm not sure if I did something wrong as this seems pretty quick from the other times I've been seeing on here. I'll have to go over the build with you later.
Edit: Build checks out. Car may just be too quick.
I am struggling and not able to optimize my times at Silverstone. I am stucked at 2.17.xxx It seems that I have a “programmed line”, I mean it is difficult for me to change my steering, breaking,….. I had tried many different things, but ….. no progress.
I watched rounds from Gizzie, Stevie,……, looked at those technical data, … but I do not manage to get changes in my driving. My racing line is - as far as I can see - okay. I think, I have to train breaking and accelerating. I think there is the clue to better times for me.
On the other side: May be I am making the same mistake as in EUSL. Too much and too hard training??? Too much pressure and in the end ….. no fun / progress???
Tonite I won’t drive any round at Silverstone.

The race was terrible. Church overtook me two times. 2 times!!!!! The rest of the field one time. I was angry and depressed. Even after those tipps from Church and Tourni I am not able to drive faster. There is always a mistake. This track is ……. hmmmm?!?!?

OK I've jumped into this now and signed up even after seeing some of the times posted in various cars. I know I will not be competive. I had been playing with a couple of cars in club class for a week or so and stuck at 2:19. Work took me out of town for a week and I just picked it back up Friday. I saw my times drop from 2:19ish to 2:16ish yesterday. The tunes didn't change that much, but being away and having a fresh go made the difference for me. Enough to get me to sign up. I'm not sure which car just yet, but I will be sticking with Club class as those cars suit me.
Some questions:
I don't have access to any club cars to use, so do need to send my build to some one for verification?
I don't paint at all so I picked some livery in the SF. Is this ok or do I need something specific on the car?
Running a practice session or three for me would be a good thing. How do I get hooked up when someone is running one? Are there a few folks near my time zone? -8GMT
Hey Goomba, You haven't gotten a club invite? I'm sorry, I'll send you one to the central division today. Although I don't think there's anything in our club garage that meets the spec for this series.
Church has been doing practice sessions almost daily through the wee at 9pm gmt I think. If that doesn't suit your schedule, you can always host another session that's more suitable for you.
