As I was racing in Snappys room I was not able to keep an eye on Parcells, rumor has it he was running in club division. Could someone clarify this for me as I know this can't be true. He is at least Pro bordering on veteran.

What you fail to understand is this handicap system is "relative" to the competition of your room. At the time it seemed logical to be in club (like YOU and ME were in club last week when I whipped your ass) but it turned out to be a thing of beauty Fitzy too bad you missed it. Parcells made it look real convincing as I struggled to gain the lead throughout the first 7-8 laps and then proceeded to show the boys how they were holding me up all that time, I really fooled them good!
It was an awesome race, I did however take General E right off the track through a misjudgement. It was a shame as we were having a great battle too :(
Really tough racing, plenty of door handles going on, but overall a tough battle. :)
Well I made the race but only just.
After taking myself off the track 3 times within the first 2 - 3 laps I finally settled down and put some good lap times in and ended up finishing in 4th.
Good close racing. Enjoyed it.
For some reason I always struggle at Mugello, but the last 3 or 4 laps (after being knocked off the track by someone rejoining after an off), catching up and battling to overtake General E (and failing !) were epic fun !
well, it was a ............. race with everything, that's needed to make a good race. A track, which wasn't too easy. 22 rounds with a great car. And: Gentlemen racers. Thank you all for that.
My race was ..... hmmm ...... not bad. At least I could test my defensive skills. Slow in the corners and than fast on the straights (with no handicap, because I am an amateur). Well, at the begining I drove okay, but then I made some mistakes. I managed some very good saves, but I think one time as I came back from the dirt, I made contact with someone. Sorry for that!
I pitted in round 11. Together with the first and second in race. Thought it was a good strategy, but suddenly I was in 6 position. I lost 2. Shit. What suprised me was, that Parcells suddenly was in front and he stayed there. I asked myself, wether he had made a pitstop or not. Everyone did one or is it possible to drive so smoothly, that those tyres are handable over the whole distance?
What I could see is, that I lost too much time and speed in the corners. I will have to train more, I think. For me the best part of Mugello is that long right hander, up to the hill! Flat out! Great "feeling" and fun.
I reached 6th place from 9. At the start we were 12, right? So we lost three.
One last remark: Sorry for the little tap in round 21. I think It was Stevie, right? First corner after the long straight.

PS: May be I won't be able to race next sunday. I will know it friday, but it looks "bad".

No worries JDANKERT these things happen. I must have chased u for 7-8 laps and if u hadn't slipped wide on a corner I would not have got past your defensive driving was great another good performance boss
One would think that my streak of bad luck should end sometime soon!
First race in the series I manager a win, second race disconected wheel and a walk, third race aswell, forth race aero damage, and last race also. ARGH!

I did warn our room that it would be a messy track, there really is only 1 line to take throughout the track, any thing off line with slow you down too much.
I think alot of people don't realise that being close to some one really hampers your passing oppertunity, any thing under a car length is too close to be useful. The idea is to get a run on someone, and having to lift the throttle on corner exit means you are too close! You can see me doing it to Cileti as he left the pit in the previous replay, I slow slightly more to turn in and then proceed to hammer the gas through the corner. The car was practically sliding as i left the corner and took the position, i was also praying that cileti didn't close the door on me :D

I apologize Zeratul for the last race. I took the corner too far on the inside, hit the rumble strip, and took you out while sliding. Maybe next time you'll watch where your going. But seriously, I'm sorry.
I'm confused. There is no Catalunya International. I'm assuming you mean Catalunya GP since the other two shorter ones are National and School. Is this correct Tourni?
there is one question, which I ask myself the whole time. Is it possible to drive that MX5 so smooth, that someone can race without a pitstop?
And another question: I use the MadCatz wheel and I still have not found the possibility to see all results (standing, place, times) right after the race. I cannot scroll down. And I can't write it down fast enough. Is there another possibility for coellcting data? For example it would have been interesting, which average lap time the top three drivers (in relation to my time) have reached.
My wife tells me I am ...... well ........ a kind of fanatic guy, because I want to have more data about my racing. I want to learn and analize. In this aspect FM have potential for optimizing. May be SHE is right and I take this all too serious, but it is fun!
A nlast question for today: I made some vids from those races via the xbox, but it seems, that the recording time is too short. The last time of those races are not recorded. I cannot see the whole race in repaly. Is that, because I am not a VIP member or a fault from my xbox?

The vids cut off short as J said, rather annoying for getting replay highlights...
J - Don't worry about your time, I know its your thing to collect data but i'd focus more in the personal gains. Say, your practice lap time was a 1.48, your fastest is a 1.47.xxx. So what you need to be doing is to hit the 1.47 lap after lap and know why you are hitting that time and not the 1.48. From there, try and hit a 1.46 by pushing that little bit more on a certain area of the track, if it doesn't work then try another area.
Our times only show you how fast we are going compared to you, but gives you little in imrpovement.
Question 1: to scroll down in the race results screen you need the right tick on the controller. this function isn't mapped on any wheel, so no you can't scroll unless oyu want to turn off your wheel 7 turn on a controller at the end of a race.
Question 2: the is a size limit to all replays. Depending on room size & various other factors, they usually cut off around 20 minutes. the only way to get a whole reaply of a race longer than that is to have someone in the lobby spectating & recording to a pvr/dvr.
From my perspective, getting to my reasonable pace takes practice, something you do a lot of. Ghosts used to help but those are not really an option any more and quite honestly I'm glad. Watch someones lap, yes, it helps a lot, if you can remember the detail. But for me its all about sector times and speeds in specific corners. I work at it sector by sector. What lines gave me .2 seconds in the first sector, what speed was I carrying into T1 at Silverstone, what visual cue did I use for that braking point, and then I try to recreate it. Repitition - and once I have that first sector, the others will come very quickly as though I have not been concentrating on them I will have of course been running through them to get back to the first. Over complicate matters by trying to learn the whole track at once and I'm stuffed.
So, as T said, don't think about his laptimes or KC's or any number of long time forza nerds and hotlappers (me included so no offense to those guys). Understand why you have just put in a lap that is .5 of a second faster than any other previous lap. If you are practicing, stop and think about where that time has come from. Write it down. Remember it, and go and nail that corner again and again. If you don't break it down like that you may just end up repeating mistakes.
May I also make another suggestion Jorg? Don't worry about lap times so much as being smooth. A racer is at his peak performance level when they are in "the zone". What his means is that the driver is perfectly in tune with the feedback that his car 7 the track gve him. The whole point to finding "the zone" is that you get to a place where you're not conciously thinking about what you are doing. If you concentrate on being smooth 7 consistent, you will naturally gain more speed & better lap times as you're comfort level increases. Eventually you'll get som comfortable that you finally find your zone. That's when things really get interesting. With practice, your skills will become more automatic/reflexive. & less cognitive. Don't overthink when you race. Just race.
If you pay attention, your car will tell you everything you need to know when you're driving it.
I hope I didn't get too zen there for your tastes, but racing really is a mental game above anything else.

It will be the middle track, not the full circuit.
I will need two hosts this week as I'm going to Autosport Internation on a trade stand. I don't think i'll make it back in time, but not 100%.
Room set up is
Nov 0%
Club 10%
Pro 15%
Vet 20%
Sim, enough laps for about 45 minutes of racing.
Looks bad ass
http://www.autosportinternational.com/public/
Have a good time fella
Yeah it should be pretty damn good, considering its free! :D
FREE!!!
EPIC!!
Now all i have to do is show them my awesome forza skills and then tell them I want a go in a auzzie v8..
Looks cool. RC stand with the family?
Yeah, supporting the hobbiest demos.
Forget that nonsense, win that Caterham 1 year of racing giveaway!!!!
Damn that show looks good!
