Yes Paul I have the 670 too, been very happy with it, runs rF1 at insane frame rates even on triples at full eyecandy. Both races were pretty aweful, just could not get the Focus dialed in, it wallowed around the track like a whale on wheels. Croft next, a circuit I know well from rF2 where I have spent a lot of time running the Clios...Would love a exibition race with them sometime. Here's hoping the Focus is a little more biddable around there...

Ah the GT Omega, been using one myself for the last 8 or 9 months, nice rig, and built to last for ever. Seat can get a little sweaty is the only minor gripe I would have with it. Your going to love those triples, just the single best thing you can add to your racing experience. smiley

I have a proper redneck setup. Mahogany computer desk and dining chair with the triples drilled through the top of it lmao. Already through my third dining chair now and the wife still hasn't taken the hint. Given Croft has another tasty harpin I'll have to switch to my ghetto G27 rubber band shifter mod again as I always accidentally shift down instead of up.

Hah you should see the mess of stuff bodged together to support my triples, one sits on my old Rennsport wheel stand, one sits on a shelf bungied to my rig with a briefcase, the top deck of an old cat scratching post and a plastic box to get it at the right height, and the other sits on a window sill on a cardboard box and a couple of game boxes. All held together by velcro. Pretty it is not smiley

To bad you can't make it church, but have fun!

I've got a few hefty upgrades planned that I hope to have complete by the launch of pcars

CSW wheel, sim vibe package with 5 buttkicker minis a new rig with triple screen stand and depending on how optimized the game gets and how close to a solid 60 fps on max I get possibly a graffics ccard currently  tho the rig and sim vibe are top priorities gt3 rs is decent but heavy in feel and a bit unresponsive the thickness of the rim really drowns out some of the subtle ffb effects  but gets the job done....I've currently got 1 buttkicker and To be honest I couldn't play without it now to me it's more immersive than the triples reason being I don't like my wheel rattling around with every bump it doesn't feel natural to me I just wanna feel the engine vibes and tires flexing and leave the bumps to the buttkicker under my seat where you feel the bumps in real life

I might pop in for a few laps. I need the practise anyway.

By the way, does anyone know a good step by step guide for setting up cars in rfactor?

Tried to tune the car but ended up setting my fastest lap with barely anything changed. All about balance as sector 1 is all about speed and 2&3 is as tight as hell. Really struggling to get the Golf turning no matter what I do to it. Also finding the grass treaturous with one wheel on it. Should be another crackin race.

Hmm, don't understand what is going on with me, I am just so slow all of a sudden. Just cannot get any speed and cornering the car feels like a boat AI still kicking my arse...It's a puzzle.

Have you played with the steering rate in the controller set up ? I found it was set really lower making the car initial turn in sloppy try raising it about 35 them work up till it feels good....iam at 50 but i think 40-45 would be better....another little thing I've noticed is at least with the audi Is it actually favors an increase in down force....costs u a little on the straights but can really make up time in the corners

i have a few hours this week to my self ill take a look at a few of the rides and see what I can do

Think I already changed the rate which did help. Also tried ARB, spring rates, and cambers but was still over a second out from my fastest lol.

I haven't run 1 lap yet. I was on vacation last week and I have the V8's this Wednesday at COTA. We are running the short course at COTA just like the real V8's did and that course is like a rubik's cube! So far the fastest guys are 5 seconds faster than me on that track. I should be able to get some practice in Friday night. Good thing there is no hockey game on Friday night. Gotta watch my Bruins raise the cup again!

Checked out liveracers for some times on this track and see that Tartan ran a very fast 1:30. I got in a few laps and I think with a bit more practice I can get 1:30 as well, but staying on the track is going to be tough. If I recall correctly, when we ran this track last season in Race 07, I think it was church who had the bright idea to run in the rain. angry

I would really prefer a dry track this time! 1

When will the server be up?

No rain this season, rf1 is too picky and everything is running ok so far so I don't wanna screw it up :)

server will be up tomorrow afternoon .  Hopefully I can get some laps in before the race and find my groove unlike last race

Just a heads up guys tomorrows race could possibly get postponed the city has been getting pounded with rain for the past week and its not supposed to let up till next week....there's been major flooding across the province.  Our house is fine but iam suspecting its only a matter of time until there's disruption in power and the Internet ill keep u informed but as of now it's a go!

http://youtu.be/kQAdDfQiNQY

this is a few blocks from where Kelly and I live and shows how dumb some people can be....cue Canadian sarcasm when the cab gets stuck :)

that was shot just over a week ago and has gotten worse....most of the downtown area has been evacuated

Damn man that sucks. You guys be careful up there. I would rather you guys be safe than try and race. If we postpone, then it is for the best.
