More than once I've seen Microsoft refer to the voice and face recognition technology improving over time through machine learning. I know Microsoft Research labs deal with deep learning and neural networks specifically for face/voice/natural language stuff.
I wonder if as part of the Xbox Live network that the console connects to there will be an unsupervised neural net to improve the Kinect's ability to understand conversational language, and better recognize faces and objects?
Somewhat related, the indie game Below alters the game based on objects the Kinect sees in your room.
Mostly unrelated, Dead Rising 3's zombies can be set to be drawn towards your character if you are too loud in real life :P

I am so hot for the next generation of consoles but my main game is Halo and that is on next year's agenda. I really like the look of BF4, RYSE and TITANFALL but will my friends be getting XB1 and a common game? Maybe not. Is Halo 4 going to keep us busy for another year and a half? I don't know.
Deep, do you have any interest in Sunset Overdrive? Zombie games like Dead Rising 3, and Dying Light look interesting too, getting those? While I know of exclusives for Xbox One I'll get at launch, there are also multiplatform games such as Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4.
I do like that Xbox One allows far more replay value in games than ever before on consoles, and how so many games such as Destiny, The Division, and Titanfall have seamless experiences go from solo, to coop or pvp without loading screens.

I'd have to look at Sunset again but my first impression was "not me". Zombies, no matter how good, are not attracting me right now. I can't turn on the TV without seeing Zombies, zombies and more freaking zombies. I'm like, eat me zombies, I don't even care anymore. I didn't notice the others but I play a minimal variety of games. I forgot about Destiny but I'll probably get it so I know for sure.
I really like the Idea of the sharing thing as me, my Brother and Brother-in-Law all have very different tastes in games so it will be cool to play each others games without needing to drive over ect every time for the disk.

Yeah, nothing wrong with waiting especially considering both of those games. I tried playing SimCity last night and my cities are still not functional due to bugs with tourism. Tourism got a $10 addon pack for people to buy. I'm not buying it while my city isn't even going to load because of tourism bugs.
The server stuff with Diablo 3's launch was very annoying, but for that game what disappointed me even more so was the gameplay changes from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3.
Even though Path of Exile is an online-only arpg, I prefer it as a Diablo 2 sequel over Diablo 3 itself. Also, since its free to play there's no risk if its not fun/doesn't work/servers suck.
Hopefully there won't be launch issues with Xbox One's network, but human error sure allows such things to happen haha

Just think if someone made a "weaponized" Xbox One that uses its face recognizing heartbeat sensing tech for evil/awesome.
Have the console be the torso, the Kinect be the head (Number 5 is alive!), and attach some limbs etc.
It uses wireless to talk to its network while it roams around seeking and destroying PS4 fanboy targets.
