Thanks for loads of fun in lobby B yesterday. And a huge thanks for your patience and persistence in assistance while I worked out my connection issues.
Gunny... great fun in our battle. Great battles had with a bunch of you guys... GRD, Steviegers (the most patient racer ever encountered), XXcitement and General and Snoop as always pushing the limits.
Sebring looks like it'll be plenty fun next week... pulling 2:19 at the moment. Could use some tuning help and would love if anyone was willing to teach me how to take the last turn.
The whole Sebring track is bumpy, especially the notorious last corner. You can compensate for it to certain extent with careful driving but IMO the car needs to be set-up as compliant (soft) as possible.
There are also few high speed curbs that could flip the car (thanks to no fast-bump-dampers in Forza). Those who've done it knows which one(s)!

I put a BMW build/tune together just to mess around and it was running 2:17 in cruise mode and 2:16.888 hot lap. The suspension had to be softened therefore the ride height had to increase to avoid the severe bumps at few locations, notably the last corner.
As for the Kia, I don't know what else can be done to that thing. After test driving other cars, it is becoming obvious to me that the powertrain in Kia has high moment of inertia, i.e. engine is not very responsive and takes a long time to get up to speed. Civic on the other end responds very quickly and rev's freely. Kia's engine feels like a dead cat has been stuffed down its intake manifold. Time to shop for a new engine? Only alternative is the Kia Forte engine . . . Already tried turbo and SC; they weren't that much of an improvement either.
I don't know what it is about that BMW but something in how I drive......Makes it just not agree with me. I could get into the 2.17's with it but that was REALLY pushing. As a comparison I have A600 cars that are 2-3 seconds faster.
GRD if you tuck tight to the wall on that last turn and motor out not far from the grass you can accelerate early and avoid the bumps. Works for me anyway.

Average corner speed isn't as important as rate of acceleration out of the corners. At Sebring you have to give up more than normal before the turn so that you are accelerating harder out of the turn. I have a replay of Cobra driving a 66' Chevy Nova @ Sebring. It is tuned to S630. He ran a 2.11-something.
This replay helped me to gain 2 seconds/lap. I'll send it over. It really gives a good indication where and how soon you should be accelerating.

I'm obviously not the best person to tell you what the best you can get out of you tune is. However, I was originally going to run the Audi before switching to the BMW. I don't know how to tune either, but I'd be happy to turn a few laps in the Audi for you and send you the replay if you think it will help.
I'll be happy to do some Audi runs for my Room B Brethren. I could only hope that I'll be able to match your times. I'll share any insights that I gather from the laps.

Also if you would like we could run some laps together and I could give you some tips. Would have to be next weekend, like before the race on sunday as I am west coast (PST), but I do get up early. Let me know.

Im in the same position as JDan, i cant get into the 2.20s.
I think 2.21.4 is my fastest so far and i really want to cut those so i atleast have a chance to pick up a fight for a podium spot in room B.

Im in the low 2:18's high 2:17's. Ive removed the aero and shaved it like a bullet and still going to be tough to compete against the FWD's this week.
Did 10 laps earlier in the Golf, getting mid to low 2.16s and got a high 2.15 on 1 lap.

Ok testing has been going well for the Audi
Just been running very low 2:17 high 2:16s.
It sure is going to be a track for the FWD cars this week but next week is Laguna.
Lots of fast sweeping turns so the RWD cars should pull it back a bit.
Not that I'm worried because Max is driving a FWD or anything
