I had the 98MB file on my system and when I checked yesterday the 30GB preload had already been downloaded - my box is set to do auto-updates. Maybe look at the item in the store first to see if there's a "download" option before you delete the 98MB file.
Hey all. Been a member for quite some time but family commitments limited my play time to odd hours and sometimes weeks offline. I have a Destiny 2 PS4 Pro console/game package reserved and looking to get back into some fun with others. Not sure what things are like these days but I assume there are at least a decent amount of folks on here who play Destiny. Just looking to chill and have some fun figuring out all the secrets of Destiny 2. I can usually hold my own (when I stopped playing Destiny all three characters were level 400) and help the group and have no problem helping Sherpa if I'm familiar with a raid, etc. Feel free to send me a friend request. My PSN ID is the same as my 2old2play name: Aragorn72.

I don't know for sure because there may be more PS4 lurkers than post here but most who do post here are XB1 Destiny players. Times do change and now PCs are in the mix but I suspect you'll have to be the tip of the spear here for PS4 Fireteams.
Ran some PC open beta campaign yesterday. I have a pretty decent rig (Intel I7-6700K processor, 4K monitor, and MSI GTX 1080 GPU). Graphics didn't disappoint (I wasn't checking frame rate) but I noticed not much of a quality difference between this beta and the console beta probably because the graphics are great in both; I played the console beta at a greater distance (6 ft) on a 32" monitor than the PC beta (2.5 ft) on a 27" monitor; and my eyesight generally sucks.
Another factor may be that because of the time lapse between the two betas any comparison was made from recollection, not side by side, and I was generally blown away by the console graphics to begin with.
Regardless, I will be playing D2 on the console more from a comfort level than anything else. Sitting hunched over in a chair at the PC is much less comfortable than kicking back in my recliner!!
It will be interesting to see what the game looks like when played on the new XBOX.
On a completely different note, Elgato is working on a 4K capture device. Can't wait for that to come out.

Maybe more PS4 Destiny players will step forward.
Now this is a nice change.
Thank goodness. Glad to see the back of this silly aspect of D1.
Saw that. Hopefully that check will include weapons in the Vault. Major time and pain in the butt saver!
ONE WEEK!!!!

Still mostly a cat person. Go Cayde!
