Okay. I built it right to a 640 and ran 5 or 6 laps. Result: best lap of 2:11.906. But the car feels like its much more on the edge, which is cool, but I also liked it stock. Very nice car. Great choice Craig.

Okay, so I have one complaint: I don't like waiting until certain cars that I want to buy "appear" at the UCD. Very annoying. Anyone have a spare Alfa Giulia Sprint GTA, BMW 2002 or Renault Alpine A110?

I don't, but I'll keep my eyes open for one.  I usually go to the UCD after each seasonal I run to see what kind of tasty treat is available.  Lately it's been a bunch of crap.....although I did just pick up a Vanquish & XJ220.

Shoot me a FR Snappy.

I am confident I have each of these cars.  If they are under $1 million in credits, I can send one or more to you.  I have to send a Super GT car to InkaBodpaiN tonight, but I can send you something tomorrow night.

@ink I used the stock nismo that zero sent me to get 2:14, I could do better with a wheel I'm sure, but this pad is making me very inconsistent. It's a very good car to run though. I really enjoy driving it (stock or not) its a nice car to drive, it's probably a great car to learn in too, as it's confident, grippy, fast enough for most and really fun and entertaining (not boring like a stock slow street car)... It's not venomous either like some of the cars out there (looking at you Zonda) :)

@Snappy, can you send your tune over? I'd like to try that too if possible, see if I can match your times :D

i might not be able to stay up until 2am as it means I'll be up driving until maybe past 3am ... And I've the school run to do at 6am (well up, bathed, fed, school run) :) so at least I can practice in the meantime. I'll try and get on though, I'll pop some matchsticks in my eyes if it gets rough, I also haven't had time to get a headset either which won't help :-/

@parcells good to know I'm not a million miles off the pace, I don't mind being last, that's not the issue, as long as I can have fun with whoever is second last and have a race, I'm not fussed about winning, but it's no fun when everyone else is 30s down the track racing, while I plod around on my own at the back at least we know we can safely have some fun clean respectful racing :)

At least I should be able to race with someone in the pack :D yay

You do not need any DLC cars Gizzie, most of us don't buy them.

You've confused Parcells with your Motegi comments...how could you buy Spa and Motegi then not find Motegi on PSN? Is it that you can't find the tracks in the game because you have to do the extra step of "installing DLC" via the main menu of GT5...icon on far right?

If anyone does not have a DLC track that we schedule we simply wont race it and pick another track, problem solved.

Thanks guys. If you dont want to go buying those cars you can just give me a heads up here. That aspect of the game is just silly. BTW, I still have no mic so I won't be able to communicate tonight. Although, I did have my wired mic plugged into the wheel last night and it was working in FM4 but I'm guessing it won't work for GT5.

Snappy, I am sitting on over 1100 cars in my garage, many of which are duplicates, and have over $10 million in credits, even after sending you, Hairy and tonight, InkaBodpain, cars that cost almost $1 million each.  You have gifted me many a car in Forza 3 & 4 and the least I can do is gift you some nice cars in GT5.  The game, however, limits me to one gift car per day, with no car being valued at more than $1 million.

GT5 is a real grind to get credits at the beginning, because you need the right cars to finish the seasonals and the higher level A spec events.  I am past all that and can easily make credits.

Hey Craig,What I meant was: if you guys see any of those cars pop up in the UCD just give me a heads up so I can pick them up. Sometimes my writing in these posts is slightly off the mark. LOL  But I do appreciate your generosity.

OK, but the problem is that if my UCD has one or more of the cars in it, your UCD will have an entirely different set of cars.  On the other hand, if the OCD has the cars, you will have them to.  The UCD is set by your particular game, the OCD is set by PD, the developer, and it rotates every two weeks.  Make sense?

Any Bluetooth headset will work.  Do you have a Jabra sitting around?  You need only pair it with your PS3 and then you are good to go.

So it's even more annoying than I thought. Ugh, ... Okay, here's what I'm looking for:

Alfa Giulieta GTA

BMW 2002

Renault Alpine A110

If anyone has one and is willing to part with it please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I know I have each of these cars, and am fairly confident I have several of the 2002s.  Anyway, you will have all of them by the end of the weekend.  I will not add any upgrades, unless you want me too.  If you add some upgrades, such as exhaust, the cars start to sound similar to one another and lose at least some of the distinctive sounds.

Snappy, I just sent you the Alfa.  I will send the BMW tomorrow.  I am shocked, but I do not have the Renault.  I will keep an eye out for it as my UCD updates.  frown

Parcells don’t really give a crap but what are the chances of us moving these general GT5 discussions into the unofficial GT5 discussion thread in the racing events sub-forum?

I’m concerned we might piss Cotter off and we don’t want him on our bad side?  55 Now that we’ve established some people play GT5.

I don't think we will piss off the boss, Mr. Cotter, either way, but you make a good point Parcells.  Guys, lets talk GT5 in the official GT5 discussion thread.

Thanks a ton! I loaded it up today and it was awesome the way you sent it. Ran several laps on a track that I created at Toscana. It's not a very complex track but it is fun. This track creator thing is going to be a problem for me.

Im trying to build a few cars to battle with the Alfa..

BMW 2002

Datsun 510

Renault Alpine A110

Triumph Spitfire

and a Lotus Europa (this car suffers from bad off throttle oversteer at the moment)

Wish me luck, this could take forever.

I just looked up a list of event gift cars on GT Planet. Going to try getting them that way. But thanks for the donations. Too bad there is not a way to gift tunes or builds in GT5.

I do.  I will send you the Chryslyer Prowler tomorrow night.  Its one of my favorite cars in the game.  PD updated the cockpit for it, even though its a standard car.
