I hope things are starting to cool down a little in Florida. Maybe you can take a walk in your yard soon without worrying about overly friendly gators!
Vix, I saw your post before it was deleted and I must say I was horrified and extremely offended...
Just kidding bro, it's all good.
Hold your head up and make some new friends. There a lot of good peeps out there that still play Halo. I know it's easier said than done, especially if you've been with a group for a long time, but hang in there!

This is why I wanted you to start playing Thursdays :)

Sounds great! I will be on tonight!

no need for popcorn or road travels. just wanted to point that out. Everything is all good in the hood and no bad feelings towards anyone and hope vice versa.
On that post, what I had talked about mainly was my feelings, because I was feeling really low and down. It was a little too personal to be put in this forum, as was suggested (correctly) to me.
It didn't bash anybody, it didn't name names, it didn't dish a bunch of gossip... It was just my low feelings about things.
Now that it's been deleted though, it leaves people's imaginations free to assume the worst! Crap. Sometimes you just can't win!
Okay now I've been told the former clan leadership is annoyed with me at something I posted. I don't know which post, who, or why. So I'll just grow a pair and lay it all out.
I said I was leaving the clan because nobody was playing Halo much anymore. But that's not the main reason.
The main reason I left is because the clan leaders changed the direction and name of the clan without involving the membership. There was no suggestions taken, no vote, no nothing.
I was told that the "six clan leaders" had "decided unanimously" on the change. Well, last time I checked the clan had 60+ members, not 6. For a decision that impacts all, the leaders should involve all. With a vote. Or a discussion at the very least.
I don't think that's right. I joined the clan 3 years ago. Others have been members longer than me. We should have a voice. Clan management "by clique" does not suit well with me.
So I'm not going along with that.
That was pretty much the tipping point for me. But I have long disagreed with two clan rules anyway. Might as well talk about those, too.
1. One is a posting requirement. Post once a week in the forum, or you're out. I have literally seen members kicked out of the clan just for not posting.
I think this is ridiculous. People join clans in order to have good people to play video games with. An active player should not be kicked out just because he didn't log in and post "LOL" on somebody's random YouTube video some week.
2. The other thing is the exclusionary policy on clan nights. Clan members are only allowed to play with other clannies on those nights. In real life, what this translates to is that if one of your XBL friends joins the party, you have to give him the boot because he's not a member.
I think this rule is extremely lame on several levels.
One is that when a non-clannie friend joins, it forces you to be rude to him. It is very unfriendly toward others, and makes the whole clan look elitist and snobby.
Also, what's so wrong with playing with friends of friends? Once they see how awesome the people in your clan are, they themselves may want to join! And then you have fresh faces, new friends, new ideas... Sounds like a "win-win" to me. Just telling people to "get out" is silly. It reminds me of kids on the playground guarding their corner of the sandbox.
So now you know my beefs.
None of this is personal. On a personal level, I like the clan leaders very much. I harbor no animosity toward any of them. I just disagree with how the clan-destined rollout was handled. And I disagree with the rules. I would gladly come back if those things were to be changed, with the clan being run as if we are all equal members, with an equal say.
I do not like being at odds with the clan leadership over their policies. I have respect for all of them. I just happen to disagree strongly on these things.
Oh, and one other thing. Clan nights. Some of you may have seen me there on occasion. Well just so you know, I have never had any intention if disrupting the exclusionary status quo. I have never joined your party on my own - only when invited. If members want to invite me and the leaders don't like that, then they should take that up with the members, not me. From my point of view, this is America, and I will play with any friend who invites me any day of the week.

That's all I got.
Water under the bridge and all that shit. Besides, clans don't exist or mean shit any more anyways. Play the game, make friends, and shoot people in the face.

Thanks Dixon! You the man :)

I'm kind of sad that Wam can't play. Maybe we can take up a collection for him to get his drive fixed :)
I'll be around tonight after an event I have to go to.
@ Vix I miss Wam too! And hubby is home sick, which means I should get the luving room without a fight tonight, which means I should be on :)
Its mildly fancy. Its a gay marriage legal fundraiser.
to be fair Vix, you asked to leave and be removed. No one booted you from anything.
Do we really need to go down this road?
He went down the road, we are just walking it with him.
Depends how many other people come out of the woodwork. My guess is no, but I've got a Mondo size popcorn to munch on...
You guessed correctly. Which is why I deleted it! No more drama for your mama :)
Dank and Fox - I wish you guys the best.
And with that, I am off that topic! See you Halo players tonight :)
RAWR! Lol I wish you were in earlier dammit!!

If your balls are getting hard, you're doing it wrong...
Vix I wish I had been able to read your post I'm sure it was honest.
It was brutally honest, and involved having evidence of you and several sheep. :)
Those sheep aren't complaining, though.
Aww, geez...

I dream of tatas every day!

Yes, and I am happy to hear these things that keeps stuff in perspective!
