Interesting.  Looked like the McLarens were racing on one of the London tracks from PGR4.

I was watching, the Forza 5 street circuit looked like a mix of PGR and Grid. The big question is how much will this cost?

Rauf00 on the FM.net forums identified the street circuit as Prague.

Wouldn't that be Tire Wear... Not EPIC if the game doesn't look like it wasn't stollen from some other game... Not epic if u can not put window decals on or this time put in a sheet of Carbon fiber Vinyl Group or side pipes

Now the question is, Will Fanatec wheels be supported. The wireless frequency being used with Xbox One is 802.11 n and USB 3.0 (so no wired connection with wheel)

Hi guys haven't been around in ages saw this and it could be a deal breaker for me if they disallow secondhand games .

I think second hand games will be done for.

The PC market has been like this for a few years now and it hasn't really done it any harm. Also take a look at Android and IPad apps. No second hands there and they are going from strength to strength.

I think the Console area will be the last to stop Second hand. I personally don't mind but then I've been PC gaming for a good 9 years now.

Indeed it has, however the games become so cheap so fast that not being able to trade in doesn't matter - I doubt MS will drop the prices of their games to match that.

However:

"Microsoft did say that if a disc was used with a second account, that owner would be given the option to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, which would then mean that the new account would also own the game and could play it without the disk"

But what if you just leave the disk in like normal?

That's why I stopped PC gaming and came back to consoles and I know some of our members are on a much tighter budget than me.

Personally that Forza clip makes me want to vomit.

If 5 ends up blinged and glitzed, with dumbass commentary, kiddy kicks interludes, winners podium shots and unrealistic tracks, I won't be buying it.

If on the other hand thats just all launch BS glamour for the press, and FM5 at least retains or improves its current physics model, specifically with dial in tyre wear, fuel consumption, night day, weather etc then it will be day 1.

If Fanatecs are not compatible though they can kiss my arse.

The only real positive - didnt it look real pretty.

The "ONE" itself actually looks pretty good from a functional side of things. As I have previously said, I thought we would be looking at Technology convergence, and that is what we have got.

Roll on more FM5 details please.

I think E3 will tell us a lot about FM5

I cannot see them changing the physics to much as people would just buy grid ect

Although the new grid has WTCC and BTCC cars in it.

Oh yeah and Brands

Let me know then.

Some more One stuff:

From the Major Nelson Architecture Panel:

Kinect field of view 60% better, can see 6 skeletons instead of 2.

Sensor can be used in much smaller rooms

Can read you facial expressions

Box uses a virtual architecture, there's two Virtual Machines, one is dedicated just to gaming with a fixed amount of cpu/gpu/ram dedicated to gaming.  The other runs all the apps, video, all that other stuff.

There will be some cloud offloading of latency non-sensitive processing to help free up more resources on the box

chips will scale power consumption appropriate to what's being done on the system

802.11 abgn,  multi usb3, HDMI in & out 4k 3d surround support, consumer electronics control supported

achievements can be added post-launch more easily to reflect how players play the game so they're much more dynamic

Has HDMI pass-thru to work with cable boxes

No external power brick, everything is internal

Even though it looks huge, it's not much bigger than the current generation and has a ton of venting, it's suppose to run almost silently

Hate, hate, hate to be a pessimist, but this means it will ship finished or not.  Of course I want it to be a release title, but there has to be some realistic expectations that go along with a release title.  I'll ride out some rough patches in the beginning, but I hope they're planning on some heavy bug squashing post release.

Everything else aside, I really hope they balance the PI better.  It would be amazing if they could increase the accuracy of the PI after upgrades.

Lol! That FM5 trailer SUCKED!!! It showed shit, small upgrade in graphics and that was about it. I would expect much more from the massive upgrade in power of the console compared to the 360.Aweful trailer, hardly worth wasting the time.

Having watched the reveal show and lots of reading it seems this XBoxOne has all kinds of new integration features that Parcells will never use (or certainly never want to use - kinect). All I need out of my XBox is to play games, it is not a big effort for me to push a button or two on my remote controls (I'm sure I'm not the only one here [over 40 lets say] who acted as a controller [for your dad perhaps?] many years ago before remote controls existed) to swtich from gaming/TV or any of that social media crap nor am I concerned if it takes my DVR 2 seconds to change a channel. How fucken uptight and lazy have we become? Not to worry, I'm sure there's a drug to cure your anxiety, wait a minute

The good news is I dont have to buy a PS4 any time soon because GT6 is on the PS3 and Parcells has enough unplayed 360 games to last me a decade or more so I'm good for now.

But of course there's the elephant in the room, notably you bastards whom I cannot imagine not racing with so the XBox/FM5 purchase will be entirely decided when the majority of us revert to FM5. And on that note, being rushed as Brnt suggests and an entirely new console and what we've seen of recent FM releases I'm not expecting much out of FM6 other than some awesome social media integration j/k

@Poids - You crack Parcells up, don't hold your breath for Spa. Maybe you'll find it in Grid 2?

@Fitzy - You crack Parcells up, prepare to be disappointed with Grid 2

I am an Xbox and Forza fanboy.

this system and FM5 will be awesome! No sarcasm and not joking at all.

Things I think we will see:

Dynamic day/night transitions. Hopefully it will be adjustable/scalable

Rediculous graphics upgrade. Monstrous pixel counts with not even a hiccup in the FPS. Graphics matter, at least to me.

Tire wear. Again, hopefully adjustable.

Glitches in the game that will need to be addressed with updates. Would you rather wait six years for a perfect game? What game doesn't need updates nowadays?

24 to 32 player lobbies. Just imagine it... Insane!

More layers on the cars for all the painters out there. 2000 plus layers.

Monthly DLC - tracks and cars. MS will want to keep pace with PD.

Are there bad aspects of the new system? Yeah but I'm guessing they will be outweighed by the good.

Isnt USB 3.0 backwards compatible with 2.0 devices.? If so, maybe most wheels will work. Wish I could ask.
