When they do get you up and around you're gonna be weak as a kitten. Amazing how quick the body gets used to NOT doing, and the way back's quite tiring. 4 inches sounds down right scary...
Went in for the final surgical followup for the benign tumor in my right eye and the surgeon says my eye pressure has spiked way up in both eyes. Yet another type of eye drop and a visit to my regular opthalmologist on Monday. He also recommend a laser procedure done in my left eye. Had this done in right eye about 18 months ago and he says if needed in one eye, then needed in the other eye. Wtf? Didn't need to hear that. Only good thing is that there is no need to see this particular eye doctor anymore since the tumor hasn't returned in the 5 1/2 years since the surgery.
People with back/neck problems: did y'all start with a chiropractor? Primary care physician? There's something wrong with my upper back and neck. It doesn't feel like my "normal" pain related to autoimmune diseases. It's pretty bad. I don't know if I should go to a chiropractor or my pcp or someone else. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated! I know several of y'all have serious back problems and I'm just wondering who you started with to get a diagnosis.
I miss going to the chiropracter. I would deffenitly start there. My wife had bad migranes due to her axis being out of line, after goign there for a while they went away.
Depends on your insurance. I started with my primary and wound up in physical therapy. I was amazed at how the stretching and strengthening exercises helped. No problems with the neck now, just everything else
Thanks guys! You echoed hubby's suggestion. He has a chiropractor he likes, who started him off with X-rays. I guess I'll break down and make an appt soon. Whatever it is, holy crap is it getting worse!
Okay, June's really turning into a rollercoaster herebouts.
I've buried two dogs in 9 days, last one yesterday. (tumor and old age respectively) And Saturday one of my boys is getting married at 20 to an absolutely adorable little woman who manages to keep him in line somehow.
All that said, I'm ready for July, I can't take much more.
Sorry to hear about your pets. I know how that feels. 20 is a little young to get married in today's society, but best wishes they have a long and happy marriage.
I agree, but they have been dating over three years and at the end of the day it's a crap shoot anyway. If everyone knew how to guarantee a long marriage it'd be a different world.
Okay, wedding's done, went beautifully, kids are off for the honeymoon, I'm back at work so I can get some rest....
edit, oh managed to collect a decent heat rash in places left unsaid and two rather nasty spider bites that appear to not be life threatening just really nasty "normal" spider bites, perhaps aggravated by the heat and such from the wedding day. At least at this point I'm reasonably sure I'm not going to lose my leg.

Glad the wedding went well man... My question is what do you do for work? Cause any place that let's you rest while working is a place I wanna
So I watched a show about animals messing up people's vacations and a guy had got bitten by a tick on old Mr Winky while in the woods and his friend told everyone they were with..lol Kinda figured that would make your spider bite feel somewhat better
As for the heat rash maybe some Goldbond would work?
Yeah, I have some baby powder at work that may do until I get home...
I work for a large manufacturing company (who shall remain nameless due to insufferable paperwork/regulations/bs) as a Quality Engineer, and most of my time is in a metrology lab, some floor work, but the lab is maintained at a strict 68 degrees...
BTW, I've been seeing some photo's from people that were there on facebook and there's some great shots. It's going to be a fun week. And then when the photographer gets her work done...
Saw a chiropractor today! He could see the place on my spine that popped without m even saying where it was. He said my neck was really messed up too. Adjusted spine and neck and I felt a lot better for a few hours. Pain in that spot of my spine is coming back, but it's a dull ache, not stabbing pain like before. He said if stabbing pain comes back call right away and he will want X-rays. Going back Wednesday and we will see after that. Insurance, after the $50 I paid today, covers all but $8 a visit. So that's a relief!
Hubby fixed mom's car. Made a tool himself to change the struts and all.

Glad you enjoyed your first apointment. You'll be additcted soon.
Soul I already am! Have my third appt tomorrow and all I could think all weekend was "I need to go to the chiro!" I feel SO much better for a day or two. Have a stressful 4th of July weekend planned with my family that starts with me driving 3 hours to get there. I already made appt with chiropractor for when after my trip.

Last post or two's got me thinking, maybe we should just call this thread "LIFE" ...

Keep that eye pressure in check if you can. You probably know that.
Didn't know about the tumor. I'm glad it is no longer an issue.
Damn y'all have some scary medical stories! I feel like a wimpy little girl over here "my immune system is over active WAHHH"
Get better soon Deep and Achy! Anything to do with my eyes freaks me out.
So hubby put new motor mounts in mom's car yesterday. Guess he will do the struts next week.
I think the site is actually working for me today woohoo!
Work it! Work it!

IF you know a good chiropractor you can start their and get xrays even, maybe do therapeutic massage, anything to avoid surgery, maybe avoid meds...

Yes, my dad's good at making a tool for a project.
Struts need a coil compresser or things get really tense...
Hmmmm...
