I revisited the TITANFALL/Respawn website and that game has me all moist right now. I did the whole site registration thing. So, I counted my mad money up and I have enough to pre-order the XB1. Yay!

Then I found out there isn't an official date for TITANFALL yet. Boo!

Now I'm all moody. Eh, so what's new?

So I looked at what you get with a Day 1 pre-order. Fuck all to play with, if you don't count yourself, in front of the Kinect. MS should have at least included one stinking game like the new Kinect Sports Rivals.

Flip flopping on the pre-order is annoying.

Really?  I've been searching but some dates were 2013. I think they have different dates for 360,PC and XB1.

Just watched an E3 IGN vid and it was spring 2014. :(

True but I only buy a select few games and TITANFALL totally has me interested.

I'll say.  Looking at your 45 games on your gamercard, most are barely started arcade games, and Halo games.  ;)

Not a problem, I simply don't play a lot of different stuff. Nothing retro excites me. A game must have something really special for me to play it much. I play a few time waster games on my SURFACE at bedtime. I'm very selective.

I gotcha, Deep, there is no minimum gamerscore to qualify as a gamer, so play what you like. Halo eats up a lot of time without paying out more cheevos. I never set out to rack up 40K, it just happened...but since I review games as a sideline I can count part of that as "work." Best fucking job ever!

That and you probably have a life outside of gaming unlike some who like to throw stones.

When the first truly next gen game comes out.  Think Gears of War for the 360.  Until then they are just up-rezed last gen games.  Ive got a ton of stuff for the 360 that I never got around to.  Gonna be picking stuff up from the $10 bin until then.

I'd love a Surface, but they're way out of my price range.

Late Q3 2014 at the earliest.  BF4 and Titanfall on PC for me.  Destiny or Halo 5 should get me looking towards console again.

I learned my lesson with the X360 even though I held out 6 months before picking one up.  A lot of the software and backend kinks should be worked out and dependent on initial sales we might even see a price drop for Xmas'14 to compete with PS4 if Sony is clobbering M$.

I might get it come tax time, if not when it has it's first price drop.

So, you are cancelling your pre-order vote with your dollars, where you cancelled your non-pre-order vote with your dollars that saved all of us stupid people who didn't vote with our dollars yet?

I have such a headache now.

First of all, I never called you or anyone stupid. What I believe you're referring to is the fact that when pressed about why I cared so much about the Xboxone I responded that I unlike many I can mention had preordered a console for launch day, thus making my interest in the console more relevant than those who hadn't preordered and were still sitting on the preverbal fence. Sorry, but that's far from insulting anyone.

However, if you're actually interested in why I chose to cancel my preorder, i'll gladly tell you.

It's quite simple deep. When Microsoft chose to reverse it's drm decision I rushed and preordered to show my support for the decision. However, since then everything I have heard and seen from Microsoft has rubbed me the wrong way. So I canceled my preorder.

The Xboxone has nothing for me. Almost everything they claim to be a "exclusive" Xboxone title will also be released for PC. So I will save my money and buy them on Steam, most likely for $20 cheaper.

So I'm sorry if my decision is confusing to you, I'll try to explain it simply so that even you can understand.
Microsoft made a boo boo and then fixed it. So since they were good boys and girls we said "YAY!" and promised to give them a reward. But dey went back and started being poo poo heads again so we said "NO! Bad Microsoft!" and took away the reward because they didn't deserve it.

Now I know some of those were big words. But ask someone to help you read them if you're wittle head is still hurting.

Now that's what calling you stupid looks like.

Dude.  Stop being an ass.  If you think that Deep is being obtuse, just in order to screw with you, come to a mod please.

Obtuse is a beautiful word, not used nearly enough in the correct circumstances.  Thank you bringing it back.  This made my morning a little bit brighter.

I think you meant proverbial fence, not preverbal. If you're going to play the part of condescending ass in a 2o2p forum then get your shit straight, because what you typed makes no sense in the context it was used. In the future, I would suggest that you gain at least a perfunctory  understanding of the "big words" that you are using as  weapons. Some big words are hard to swallow. +1 what Dixon said.

Decided to go ahead and plunk down and get a Day One pre-order. Was over a year late to Xbox and 8 or so months on the 360. Figure I deserve to get this one at launch. I put myself on a yearly gaming budget too, so in my rationalization, I spend the $600 now for the console,  one game (BF4), and of course tax this year. That way the 2-3 games next year like Titanfall and Destiny, and maybe something else, won't feel like it hits the checkbook so hard.

I'm not as concerned about the hardware this go-round. There haven't been many if any issues with the slims and we have the same company designing the One. I see more issues with Azure and the interface first. I mean how bad were the original blades on the 360?

Gaming budget. A very good idea.
