I went back to Washington for a management course, carrying the usual list of things to buy from the Land of Plenty. Mrs. Murid's birthday was two weeks away so a birthday present was at the top of the list. (Really, it was right under GRAW 2 and Borat, but those were necessities.)

I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow. We're spending a week in the Alps: fresh air, beautiful scenery, exercise, and far away from work. And of all those things what's got me most excited? They have a wireless LAN in the hotel. What have I turned into? Yeah, I'm maybe getting a little too nerdy.

The first time I say "Those f'n people," I know its time to go. Get out and get away. Find a nice place to visit, a good hotel, and a cheap flight and turn in my leave slip. It's time for a vacation. And I've been saying it lot lately, so I'm overdue.
