Silly Morning

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you did something silly and just kind of wished you could start all over?  Yeah, that's me today.

Oblivion is not for those with Attention Deficit Oh! Look! A blue car!

I've been playing a good bit of Oblivion lately.  A game I have come to enjoy more and more as I get into it.  But I have quickly found out that 1, a lot of people here have moved on from the game and 2, it is very easy to become distracted while pursuing a quest.

By no means am I making fun of Attention Deficit Disorder.  I realize this can be a very serious problem.

She's A Keeper

My wife went shopping this weekend and comes home with a bag from Best Buy amongst many other bags.  She tells me to open it up and I find Tiger Woods 2007 and Family Guy!  What a gal.  This is the great news.  Unfortunatly they were for the original XBox, and the receipt was not in the bag.  But we were able to go and make the exchange without a hitch.  I was very pleased with Best Buy on this.

Work Environment

Here's a fun one.  I work in a three story building, and over the summer it was announced that the organization that filled the third floor was going to be disbanded, and another organization that is expanding will be occupying the third floor.  Of course the current layout of the buildig did not meet some of their needs, so they renovated.  During the renovation asbestos was found, and abatement would have to ensue.

Long Weekend For Groovy

That's right, Groovy's got a 4 day weekend.  I took yesterday off for a company golf outing in which I played poorly.  But then I thought I can't take a Thursday off and then expect to go back to work on a Friday.  That just makes no sense.  So I rented a few games (Oblivion and Table Tennis) and plan on playing some Xbox today.  Pretty freakin sweet huh?

Well, I'm going back to my gaming.  Have a great weekend.

Groovy's Got a 360!

Well, the holidays came a bit early in the GroovyElm household.  My wife and i decided to avoid the Christmas rush and start spending a bunch of money now.  First off we got the laptop for my wife, then (more importantly) we got the 360 for me.  Gamestop had some deal where they were giving more money for used Xbox's towards the 360.  I'm sure they run these things all the time, but it was reason enough for me to make the jump.

Slowly catching up with technology,

Groovy

Newest Purchase

I recently bought a laptop computer.  I know, I'm making sure I stay a few steps behind technology at all times.  We actually bought the laptop for my wife (she thinks).  She's going back to school and we thought it would be helpful for her.  I remember when laptops first came out and were consistently two or three times the cost of a desktop unit.  Freaking amazing how low the prices have become.

New Addiction

I have  a new addiction...

While I should be working, I have found that something much more fun, and in some ways more productive.

Here it is:  http://www.addictinggames.com/miniputt.html.  I know this has been out for a while, but somehow the classics just seem to always pop up.

My best score so far is 24.  I don't think you can get a hole in one on every hole, but I don't know.  Hope you enjoy.

XBOX 360 Upcoming

So last night I was having a conversation with my wife about what we were going to do for Christmas this year.  She goes "I really think I'd like to get you an X Box 360".  How sweet is that?  I've been wanting one for a while, but we've had other priorities.  She's going to graduate school, just had LASIK surgery done, one thing after another.  So I'm pretty excited.  I told her in November I would trade in my current X Box, Gamecube and games and let her use the credit towards the system.  Freaking Sweet, I can't wait.
