My morning started out pretty rough as I was suffering the after effects of my girl's spicy pasta and garlic bread from last night. Was very tasty, but doing a big number on me today. So after praying to the gods for a bit, I headed out to the to a local arcade warehouse at around 8:30. On the way, I swung by the bank to pick up a bill and then by Dunkin Donuts to grab the warehouse crew some coffee which I told them I would bring the next time I showed up.

So I get home after a rather frustrating and lackluster day at work to find a box waiting for me on the counter as I walk in. I looked at the return address and did not recognize the name. Wondering if I ordered more repair parts for one of my coin-op machines and forgot about it, I open the box cuatiously and to my suprise found this

I just broke my personal High Score on the coin-op version of Robotron with a score of 2,122,375.

As many of you know, I have been working on my scores in hopes of catching up to the contemporary record, which is just shy of 40 million. I know I have a long way to go, but I am very pleased with this score. Stay tuned, there will be more updates on my quest.

Well, actually it was a Barn raid this time. I headed up to Derry, NH with a crew from the New England Arcade Collector's Forum (NEACF) to check out a Barn full of goodies owned by a fellow collector in the area. This barn was packed with project arcade cabs, monitors, game boards, bezels, control panel, marquees and much more. Hell, I even score a trackball controller for my Atari 2600 today. So much good stuff, so little money and time. Here are some pics from today's run.
