Guaranteed no whining in this post

I've been quiet the past few days. You may have noticed.

I slept in this morning - I actually forgot that I was back at work, and slapped the alarm off, wondering sleepily why I had set it in the first place. Luckily (hah!) I woke up an hour or so later, needing a pee, and the truth came crashing home as I blearily stumbled back to bed. Cursing under my breath, I about-faced and clambered into the shower.

Things proceed frustratingly slowly on our financial situation. Our house is being valued tomorrow morning, sometime between 10AM and 12PM. We had it valued just around a year ago, when we remortgaged, so we'll be hoping that it will not have increased in value by very much, if anything.
Is that wrong? Not to us - the more the house is worth, the higher the equity we will have, and the more money we will have to borrow from my in-laws. (Technically not my in-laws, as my girlfriend and I are not married - but I'm just splitting hairs.)

Nothing much going on just now. My colleague has been seconded to Belfast for a week, so I have the office to myself for a time. I've taken the opportunity to bring my iBook in so that I can try to get on with some writing of my own. When I think about it, my colleague probably wouldn't mind if I brought it in before, but it just seems a bit cheeky tbh.
