Thirty-Ninth

So, it's been a couple of slow days as far as my WoW time is considered. Blizzard have released Patch 2.1, which I have yet to get to grips with, due to almost all of my addons going belly-up on Wednesday, meaning I had to spend a couple of hours downloading, updating and configuring - serves me right for running mod-heavy. I'll try and get back into it tonight - no promises though. I'd like to, as it has plenty of groovy new stuff in there.

Ok, so yesterday kade47 asked about what there was to do after hitting 70 in WoW, so I thought I'd try to shed a little light on the subject as I see it.

First off, there is no way that you'll hit 70 in WoW and have completed all the quests available to you from the various NPCs in the game, so there will definitely be somewhere else for you to go (possibly several somewheres) and find things to kill, entities to save and money to be made.

Ok, so yesterday kade47 asked about what there was to do after hitting 70 in WoW, so I thought I'd try to shed a little light on the subject as I see it.

I thought I might try and take a minute or two to explain some of the places I've been referring to recently; Botanica, Mechanar, Arcatraz, Karazhan, they won't mean much, if anything, to people who don't play WoW, or who have only just started. Despite what some people will tell you, there are indeed people out there who haven't picked up WoW yet.

I hate PUGs. Stood around for 20 minutes, waiting for a tank to show up so we could run the Steamvaults, which I need to do with Verbatim to get access to Karazhan. Needless to say, that fizzled out.

Hokay, I've been plugging away with Verbatim on and off over the past few dyas, trying to get him attuned and geared up for Karazhan, but it's going slower than I'd like, to be honest. Last Thursday (I think) I managed to get a place in a guild run through the Shadow Labyrinth, unfortunately they already had a Holy Priest with them, so I was stuck on backup healing and trying to DPS. For those of you not 'WoW-ed' yet, once a Priest has allocated his or her talent points to make Healing their primary role, their Damage Per Second (DPS) drops to laughably low levels.
