No, this wasn't some sort of revelation, just a reference to the show on the SciFi channel.  I know everyone has their opinion about shows and can or will nit pik on the details, but I do like this show.  I really try not to view a show with the mentality that it has to be based on reality?  Even those that have real life situations.  CSI?  The things they do sound good but the results are preposterous and the methodology is wrong.  But, I enjoy the show based on the entertainment value to me.  I shut the part of my brain down that goes through the logic of a show and use the other half for th

How do I title this?

A friend of ours (Dastards and mine) is going in to have surgery on his rotator cuff (shoulder) and neither of his kids are here.  I realize that this isn't a major situation, but he thinks that he should just be shuttled to the hospital and dropped off.  I disagree.  Although his isn't a relation, he and his family have been a huge part of our lives.  He took Dastard in right after he was served divorce papers, he and his wife supported me when I had my mare and then lost her, his wife taught the oldest riding lessons long time ago, and so on.  Last year his wife, Anne, passed away unexpected

Start of the week

*SIGH* Yes, it is Monday, signaling the end of a long weekend.  The LAN went fine and the oldest cleaned everything up before Dastard and I awoke.  I was impressed.  Of course, since he stayed up all night he was sleeping until noon.  He then got to help Dastard make his bed frame and they put the first coat of paint on yesterday.

I started to finish my sponge painting project in the bathroom and have one side of the shelf left to paint and it is done.  Hallelujia.

Transformers and other news

The movie ROCKED!  If you haven't seen it, GO!  If you have, well, GO AGAIN!  I couldn't leave, I was so riveted, my bladder was about to explode.

REO Speedwagon

The celebration is over and my Big Sweetie (the dog, not the hubby) is getting back to normal.  She is one of the many dogs who become fearful during the 4th of July celebrations and thunderstorms.  We used to have her on Acepromazine as a tranquilizer, but it only made her dopey and unstable coordination.  She remained very mentally alert.  A friend of mine, who is also a veterinarian, asked why she wasn't on vallium,  Hmm.  She explained that the valium  wouldn't make her dopey but help calm her.  So, I got on
