So, my job has been ... a challenge since I got back from Mat Leave. And not because it's a difficult job, on the contrary. It's tough cause it's so easy. It's almost like a demotion: I am back doing the type of work I did when I was first hired. Very detailed... alone in my cubicle, very little creative thought or collaboration. 

I did my Myers Briggs Assement: It's a very well known personality profile. I am an ENFP: The Kiersey Temperment sorter would say I am an Idealist: (that's the NF in me) and specifically I am called a "Champion".  Here's what it says about me:

Okay... So some  evangelicals are upset with Spore...  okay... nothing new. I was very surprised, however, because as I understand it, they believe that Spore teaches Evolution.  See, from my point of view, Spore is actually an intelligent design game.  In fact, I am so sure that this is an intelligent design game, that I am still not convinced that I understand the reasons why the evangelicals have their collective poop in a knot.  But anyway: just to clarify a few things:

Yep, I am trying to get healthier... . Okay, I will admit it. Working out is great, it's healthy, I feel better blah blah blah. I will be honest.

I want to look better naked.

I mean really? Why else would we work out? I mean if I want to reach my goal of being mistaken for Ms Marvel as I walk down Ottawa streets, I have some fucking WORK to do.

edit: thanks so much for the Butter Bear advice. And yes, he is prone to pooping in people's eye, but he's still a good little bear.

Erica's butter bear goes with her to daycare so she can sleep. We never got a replacement bear just incase. I can't find another bear anywhere. It's her fave but he is DIRTY! I am worried that all the washings/dryings is going to turn poor butter bear into roadkill.

Any ideas? Sean DID find a replacement, but it didn't have the moon emblem on his tummy so he didn't get him (d'oh!).  I thought he was a shining star bear... but no. Not a webkinz either. He's from ToyR Us (I think, my Dad got him for Erica) He's... 7 inches ish. yellow.  Please help.

Mini games are to RPGs like an appetizer is to a meal. It rounds out the experience and sets a tone for the game. As games become more complicated, mini games have followed suit. And like with full games, mini games have to follow a set of rules that will ensure that they are great. So how to make a great mini-game?

Do: Create a mini game that is seamless into the purpose of the entire game as a whole.
