So here's the thing.  I was playing last night and talking with an Italian friend of mine.  She was telling me of a cooking class she taught in an area that is definitely not known for its ethnic cooking (or ethnicity of any kind).  She said it went fine until they started asking her if they could substitute some of the ingredients for others.  Now, I enjoy cooking although some of my methods could be called into question, not to mention some of my combinations (taco spaghetti, my easy bake chicken parm).  I've been making a lasagna recipe for 17 years that I got out of a Good Housekeeping

Ok, so my clan mates kid me about my lack of profanity while I play.  It's not my fault, my man cave is next to my den where my 13 yo daughter watches tv, and my 16 yo son is usually either next to me or watching tv as well.  I tend to let out a lot of "holy crap" or "turd knocker".  Well, tonight my wife and kids were out of town and I was home by myself so I thought I would let loose.  As soon as I get on, my son jumps on his cousin's account and joins the party.  Never mind that after my 4th JD and coke I was feeling pretty frisky, I just don't do that in front of my kids.  I guess I'll

It had to happen.  I have jumped completely off the Auburn University bandwagon.  To those of you not from the South (your loss), college football is a religion.  In the state of Alabama, you CAN'T not root for some team.  When Auburn fired Terry Bowden for not sounding southern, I said never again but came back.  When certain college trustees flew to Louisville to interview a new football coach when they hadn't even hinted at firing Tuberville, I said never again, but when Tubbs went 11 and 1, I came back.  When Tuberville resigned after fighting a losing battle for 11 years with again, th

Playing with my peeps is awesome.  Some of  the conversations while playing cause me to laugh out loud at random times throughout the day and I thought I had to share some of them.  Probably not that funny in the retelling, but I'm grinning from ear to ear typing this.

Not much gets to me, I'm a pretty laid back guy, but there is something that's been weighing on me for a couple of weeks, and something that came up last night (no, not that!!) that's really getting me troubled.

Well, it happened again. With 7 days to go until the release of GoW2, my xbox died. The last time it died was the Monday night before Halo3 released. In hindsight, that wasn't as much of a tragedy as I thought it would be since I didn't really like the game. But Gears of War?? Not only is it in my top 2 games of all time, it's my clan's title game. Woe is me. Not to mention my cheap plantronics headset died day before yesterday (1 year and 2 months after purchase). The good news (sort of) is the box is still under warranty from the last repair.
