My son, Alabama Slayer, has been collecting parts for his car stereo for about a year now.  We put a nice JVC radio and 2 new 6" door speakers last summer.  We put 2 new 6"X9" last winter.  For Christmas he got 2 12" subwoofers and he bought a box to put them in.  The amp for said subs came in last week.  Seriously, this is the biggest amp I have ever seen.  Granted, my car stereo experience is limited, but this thing is about twice as wide as my laptop and 4 times thicker.  Anyway, for the last 2 days after school he and couple of his friends have been installing this monstrosity and he pr

Spring has finally gotten to the deep south.  80 degrees, bright sunshine, low humidity, would be perfect except for the yellow clouds of pollen rolling around.  Seriously, in the mornings you can grab handfuls of pine pollen off the back bumper of your car.

Played in the 5 match of the tourney last night and got an accolade I've never gotten before.  Most deaths by shotgun.  Gee, Bonecrush, wonder how I got that?  To be fair, we finally played a team that didn't sit in one place all the time (notice I didn't use the c word).  I was so surprised I didn't know how to act.  The second TDM we won with Kevtek and Sub T chanting "embrace the camp".  That goes against everything I stand for.  I have sucked at every match we've played and had moments where if I had plenty of money to buy a new TV I would have chucked the controller right through the d

I've had perennial allergic rhinits all my life.  Shots, nose sprays, nothing helps.  I'm not talking about sneezing, don't do that, nose just swells shut, eyes water, random itchiness.  The itchiness is necessarily a bad thing, where and how long I scratch is nobody's business but my own.  It's the not sleeping thing that's driving me insane.  I haven't slept 20 hours this week and it's starting to get to me.  Irritability and lack of energy mostly, and the annoying habit I have of eating when I'm tired.

I've worn glasses since the ninth grade, full time since the eleventh.  I'm sick of them.  A few years ago, I asked my optometrist about laser surgery.  He said "They're doing great things with astigmatism of .5 or less".  Much encouraged, I asked "What's mine?".  "5".  You'll notice the decimal point is after the 5.  Needless to say, the pop of my bubble was audible.  Well, the astigmatism is 6 now and I hate glasses, especially now that mine are starting to resemble the bottom of a coke bottle and $300 every 2 years even with insurance is really expensive.  Has anybody had a good experien

When I joined 2old2play back in '05, I was looking for a clan to join.  Found Art of War and played a lot of Gears of War.  A LOT.  Recently, several of us have started playing it again about once a week.  Now, I'm decent at most video games.  I'm a rhythm player and once I find it, I do pretty well.  Not gears.  I suck so bad at this game.  Can't snipe, can't hit anything with a torque bow, my boomshots seem to cotton candy, and nades blow up my team mates as much as they do the enemy.  Despise shotty circles, win one out of 50 consistently.  Can use the pistol, but they seem to have done
