the "C" word.

let me not confuse everybody. i don't have cancer, i had cancer 9 years ago. renal carcinoma...kidney cancer.

i gues i'm technically a "cancer survivor" but i don't feel i really earned that title. much of my family suffered and died due to cancer. i worked in a hospital and i saw many people suffer and die from cancer.

i didn't suffer and i was cured surprisingly quickly.

i was spared. why? i haven't a clue as i'm probably the least special person in the world.

i happened to be in jersey city on that day. i was in a building that was right across from the towers. i got a call from my friend who was outside. he told me to come out quick. he hadn't realized what had happened and neither did i. we thought one of the towers was just on fire. we saw people jump. that was bad. people are saying around us that a plane crashed into the tower. we didn't see how that could have happened. we figured these people are just guessing. suddenly we saw a plane smash into the other tower.

i've been havin a reaaallll fuckin hard time latelt with all kinds of personal issues. i've just about had it. fuck everybody that has these i'm perfect and lolier than  thou sttitudes. life is life and you can't change what you're dealt. but at least there are ways to deal with it, so it's either deal or open up your wrists. i hate bitchin, so i'm not. i'm dealing.

slipknot debuted this week at number 1 on the billboard chart while motorhead debuted at 82. good for slipknot. but come on, after all these years of motorhead crankin out (usually)great music and never selling out, they can't get higher than 82? that's a disgrace and a sad reminder on the state of current music. true, motorhead has never really had high record sales in america, but all the motorhead shows i've been to have pretty much always been sold out. and what about all these morons who think they're cool just because they're wearing a motorhead t-shirt?

also, that one is a baby. these suckers can grow to over 10 ft.

after playing Bad Company(great game) and Bioshock(probably my favorite game of all time), i decided that i don't mind dying. it just makes it more challenging. i'm not crazy about the new trend of dying and respawning at your last save point, but with no consequences. every bit of damage you did before dying is still there, so instead of dying, you only get pushed back a little. wtf? really, this makes it too easy and takes away a lot of the challenge, thereby also a lot of the enjoyment. when i get killed i wanna die! i hope this trend of catering to "casual" gamers stops soon!

now that labor day has come and gone, it's time for local summer. too bad we gotta pick up after the bennys, but somebody has to. i'm going to be at one of these beach sweeps, but i'm not sure which one yet. i'm adding a link just to the beach sweep page, but the whole website is worth a look.
