Harvest 2010

Harvest is full-on in the our neck of the plains. Soybean harvest is completed and corn harvesting has begun. Kept a semi-truck busy yesterday and also hauled in loads of corn to the ethanol plant with the tractor. I have been on the lunch detail since I finished hauling in wagon-loads of beans. I think I was the only female hauling in two wagons at a time with the 1 ton pick-up.

Reach, BFBC2 & chicken w noodles

Fall has arrived and one field of soybeans was ready yesterday. Harvest hi-jinks have commenced. And on a personal note, I have forgotten how to send a private e-mail on 2o2p. Oh, well. The massey 850  combine needs some work today and the Challenger will be out in the field this afternoon, if it does not rain. Since I never know when people will be in the yard or not...I will be getting some chicken & noodles simmering on the stove this afternoon and will forget how bad a software noob I am.

Halo Is Not So Far Out of Reach!

Well, soon school will start to the relief of many parents. Finished Mass effect 2 twice now and Borderlands and still working on Red Dead Redemption. Anyway, RAGBRAI is done and the Iowa Tandem Rally over, so my summer is ending officially and now back to blogging and dance classes for little girls. We in Iowa are very tired of the rain and humidity, not to mention mosquito bites galore! The one on my eye lid is really annoying. Here in God's country we are watching the corn grow, the bean pods fill and unfortunately basements flooding due to a high water table.

Sam Fisher & Halo Reach Beta & Mom's Day

Well, if you are an afficionado of storytelling...then Splinter Cell should be on your list. If you like action and re-action, then play this game. I completed it on realistic and I cussed level nine...but in the end it is in my game collection. There are wonderful strategic options and you can test your solution-focused approaches with multiple replays.

Grain Train & Other Matters

It is time to empty grain bins and get ready to plant corn out here in God's country. In between hauling loads I finally finished Borderlands! Got gaught in one glitch in the arena. Had to defeat 3 rounds of different goons and got a second wind just at point of death at end of final round. The arena was emptied by use of rocket launcher and electricity but the gates to the arena did not open. Tried to climb, jump, bust, the thing and now have option to replay my same game or restart with All my weapons and levels intact.
